We rented four rooms as a family in this hotel for a weekend getaway for my mother-n-laws birthday. We had a bunch of kids. One of the main reasons we booked was for the pool and hot tubs. When we arrived, there was a sign saying the pool was out of order. According to the front desk, it has been out of order since Feb 1 which is over three weeks. There is no notice of this on their web site and we were never informed. It really ruined our trip and I think it’s preposterous that they did not let us know Before arrival. When we checked in, two of the four rooms were dirty. One had coffee thrown at a wall and dripping down it. That group was relocated to another room. Another room smelled like someone just ate a hoagie in there. As we go to set down our snacks, the desk was covered in Italian dressing. The front desk lady (the lady at the front desk on Friday 2/24 was by far the best and highlight of this hotel) came and sprayed it down and wiped the desk and febreezed the room. On our first day in town, we left the hotel and went to the museums around town. We get home and the key cards for all four rooms were deactivated. Each room had to go and get it fixed. The lady at the front desk said something like “oh you’re checking out tomorrow” which I am unsure what they expected us to do for the next day and a half with no key card. Today as we’re packing up the room, all of our key cards were deactivated again at 10:30am when check out is noon. As we’re packing up cars and going in and out of the rooms, all of the sudden keys don’t work. Breakfast was a normal hotel breakfast (eggs, bacon, waffle irons, bagels, yogurt cereal) but the bacon was gone early on both days we were there and not replenished. Waffle batter was out the first day. No spoons. No dedicated staff, the front desk just comes in occasionally. The rooms with the whirlpool tubs were fine. The tubs themselves had junk coming out of the drains pretty much every time it was filled. Bathrooms has a lot of caulked together pieces, shower surrounds that were cut awkwardly, the sink in one room was obviously poorly put back up after a fall. The location is as expected. It’s outside of downtown by 2-2.5 miles but is a seven minute drive or so to the main area. Would not stay here again.
