We stayed here because family recommended it and prefers it over others in the area. But, I have no idea why! The service from the beginning til end was terrible. The positives: - It was within a mile or two of Itacare so you could easily walk or get an uber to the city. - The breakfast was unmatched, and very very good quality. The only issue was that the juice wasn't kept stocked and glasses were regularly not available. They rotated the foods daily so there were the normal choices but a new selection most days. Although not as many options as larger resorts, the quality was excellent. - The grounds were very well maintained. - They had live music some days which was very nice, and it was not overly loud so it was enjoyable. The negatives: - Service really lacked, see below. - The rooms were dated, although clean they seemed dingy and dirty. - The wifi was very spotty, only near the restaurants was it reliable. - We had issues with the hot water for days and complained, told it was fixed and there was no communication that they had fixed it (and they had not actually done anything). Finally after the 3rd attempt and waiting for maintenance to show up it was fixed and we got hot water. - They nickel-and-dime for things like water, use of the in-room safe, etc. - The drinks were beyond TERRIBLE, and took 20-30 minutes after being ordered. They did not have the ingredients handy for a couple of their featured drinks either. The pool-side bar had staff that would just run to the main bar to slowly make your drink. Upon arrival, we had a group that had 5-6 rooms. Rather than checking in each room with multiple staff they had one person process all rooms for our group. So as other people arrived they were placed ahead of our other rooms. It took 45-60 minutes total for our check-in because of all the other rooms which were placed in front of us (but arrived after). The follow through on problems did not happen. The front desk would request help, but then not keep us updated. Took many tries to get hot water turned on, after maintenance told them it had been fixed over multiple days. Finally they replaced the hot water element and it worked. Other people in our group had problems too, including a broken toilet that eventually cracked in half, and they were moved to a new room after days of complaints.

Se você chegou até aqui em busca de local para ficar hospedado então nem procure mais… Este definitivamente será a melhor opção nessa região de itacaré. Ambiente espetacular com piscina , área de jogos e etc. O local é lindo , aconchegante , quartos espaçosos , chuveiro quente , ar gelando muito , varanda com rede e etc Atendimento do Luis e do Leo são fantásticos. E o cozinheiro Edson é um cozinheiro de mão cheia. Rapaz… resumindo pode ficar hospedado aqui sem medo!

I did not stay at this hotel but was told there was a receptionist that spoke English so I stopped by to ask for recommendations and directions. I felt rather intrusive coming to do this but I thought I would try. My first drop in I met a lady who spoke no English and seemed a bit “put out” that I was not a guest and asking advice but said the “English speaking” receptionist would be in the next day. Sure enough I dropped by and was greeted by Ana Paula and she gave me all the information I needed and treated me like I was a guest and went above and beyond helping me. I have visited Brazil before but have always had trouble communicating. Most hotels say they have English speakers but don’t. I can’t give a review on the rooms but from the outside it seemed quiet and very clean. It looks like they offer an afternoon coffee snack which is a nice thing. When I return I will most definitely stay at Maria Farinha as their rates are on average with where I’m staying and have English speaking employees. So kudos to you and a big thank you to Ana Paula for helping us when she didn’t have to. Will definitely return to stay here at Maria Farinhas and will follow up with full review on the entire stay.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im Pousada Portal da Concha absolut geliebt! Es ist an der perfekten Stelle. In der Nähe von vielen Restaurants und Geschäften, zu denen Sie leicht zu Fuß gehen können. Das Personal war freundlich und freundlich. Sie gab viel Informationen über die umliegenden Strände, die sehr hilfreich war. Der Poolbereich war groß und hatte sogar einen kleinen Spielplatz, der für unseren aktiven Toddler groß war. Das Frühstück war lecker und hatte eine große Vielfalt. Wir werden bei unseren künftigen Besuchen in Itacaré sicherlich nach Pousada Portal da Concha zurückkehren.
