Ausser der Freundlichkeit des Personals an der Rezeption ist nichts Positives zu bewerten. Das Zimmer wurde x-Mal einfach nicht gereinigt. An vier Tagen wurde ganz plötzlich die Tür geöffnet, auch morgens um 7:20h, unsere Empörung vernommen und die Tür offen gelassen, ohne eine Entschuldigung davon gegangen. Der reinste Alptraum.

Das Frühstück war sehr schlecht. Aus dem Müsli meiner Tochter krochen am Tisch die Ameisen raus. Das Personal beim Frühstück total gelangweilt. Das Brot lieblos in einem Sack und die Auswahl sehr bescheiden. Das Zimmer war sauber, dafür der Balkon total dreckig. Im Schrank lag noch der BH meiner Vorgängerin. Auf der Terrasse zum Frühstück kam jeden Morgen eine bettelnde Familie vorbei und stand penetrant am Tisch. Die Gegend allgemein sehr unsauber und laut. Die Aussichtsterrasse war die ganze Zeit geschlossen.

Das schlechteste Hotel, in dem ich je in meinem Leben war. Super kleine Zimmer, schmutzige und dunkle Umgebung, sehr unhöfliches Personal. Drei Tage hintereinander kam ich früher zum Frühstück herunter und trotzdem war der Orangensaft aufgebraucht. Du fragst nach mehr Saft und sie sagen dir, nein, es ist vorbei, sie ersetzen nichts, auch wenn es noch Stunden bis zum Ende sind. Das einzig gute ist die Lage, aber es gibt noch viele weitere Hotels in der gleichen Gegend. Der Preis ist für das Hotel und seine Dienstleistungen sehr teuer. Spa-Thema, abgesehen davon, dass es nicht im Preis inbegriffen ist, ist es beängstigend, den Kopf hineinzustecken. NICHTS EMPFOHLEN.

Ich würde sagen, das einzig Gute, was ich über den Ort sagen kann, ist die Lage. Im Übrigen waren wir überhaupt nicht zufrieden: Sie haben das Zimmer in 4 Tagen nicht gewaschen, unaufmerksames Personal, das heißt, wenn sie immer rund um die Uhr geraucht haben, schlechtes Frühstück, die Zimmertür reicht nicht bis zum Boden und Licht und Lärm die ganze Nacht eingetreten, Maschinengeräusche im Zimmer,… Aber das war nicht das Schlimmste, sie haben uns eine Rechnung von 500 Euro von einer anderen Reservierung in Rechnung gestellt und zum Glück haben wir es rechtzeitig realisiert. Schließlich haben wir am letzten Abend um 4 Uhr morgens einen Transferservice zum Flughafen gemietet und nach dem Warten haben wir den Nachtrezeptionisten gefragt, und er wusste nicht einmal, wovon wir sprachen ... Kurz gesagt, ich würde es nicht empfehlen .

Hotelpersonal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Sehr begrenztes Frühstücksbuffet mit wenig Auswahl. Das Bett war unbequem, der Boden in der Dusche sehr rutschig. Gute Lage in der Nähe der Hagia Sophia und der Blauen Moschee.

I'll try to be less emotional and objective. Location: the hotel is located in a crowdy area, where there's no silence. There's an ongoing construction right before the hotel, so there's a lot of dust and dirt coming from there. The construction machines make so much noise and even at late night. I stayed there for 4 nights, and they worked till morning. If you travel with small kids it's not an option. Breakfast in the rooftop terrace: even though they promote and advertise it everywhere the meals served do not seem to be of high quality and fresh, very poor and few options - no meat (no chicken no fish). Rooms: the furniture is old, and needs renovating. There's a SPA in the basement and strange restaurant or cafe on the first floor which gathers strange people all night and you may feel unhealthy atmosphere (it's a kind of drank people's place). In general very noisy, and forget about sleeping if you come to this hotel.

The room smells of cigarettes and when mentions the staff they didn’t care. Whenever we asked for anything, they would always ask for money. They made us pay extra when we got to the property. They were rude throughout and lacking customer service. They entered the room, even though do not disturb sign, was on. They kept making excuses to come into the room. All of the staff is male, except for the cleaners. The cleaning lady told us that she was spoken to badly, and we heard the manager berating her and treating her poorly. I’m not surprised us like that and yelling at us when we refused to pay the additional charges. He threatened to kick us out and attempted to do so unless we paid. We had no choice but to pay as he was attempting to remove our items from the room.

Our last night.We had a fabulous stay at Sunlight spa Hotel. The breakfast was good each morning. The hotel in the great central location. BIG thank you to Umut and the reception who helped us every step of the way and did everything he could do to look after us and make sure we had a comfortable stay. Thanks again I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel is at a perfect location. All major sites are reachable by foot and the area provides ample restaurants that are not a direct tourist trap. The hotel bar and restaurant itself are good as well. The only minor issue I had was the breakfast that was rather disappointing. I was looking forward to fresh, home made products. What I got was a thrown together collection of loveless food. The Juice and coffee were far from fresh. The rooftop location on the other hand is very nice to wake up with. The rooms are a bit noisy and the close by minaret made sure I gut up as sunrise. I would reserve here again when I return to Istanbul.
