Maywood Hotel

Zimmer dürftig. Nicht sauber. Böden nicht gewaschen. Kein Tee/Kaffee im Zimmer, man muss nach Paketen fragen. Die Auswahl beim Frühstück war gut, aber ACHTUNG: Ich entdeckte schimmeligen Frischkäse und wurde krank, nachdem ich saure Milch getrunken hatte. Sie wechseln den Lagerbestand nicht und prüfen nicht, ob er frisch ist. Rund um das Hotel waren Kisten, Kinderbetten und Ausrüstung gestapelt. Es sah so aus, als wären sie mitten in Renovierungsarbeiten. Der Pool war während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts außer Betrieb. „Problem mit der Elektrik“, eher so, als wollten sie nicht für den Betrieb bezahlen!! Das einzig Positive war das nette, freundliche Personal. Sie waren effizient und hilfsbereit. Ich empfehle dieses Hotel nicht.

Wir waren Ende Oktober für 4 Nächte in diesem Hotel, die Lage in der Umgebung des Hotels war fantastisch, das Hotel war sauber, das war's auch schon, der Preis, den wir für 11 Zimmer zahlten, war etwas enttäuschend, der Nachteil war, dass einige der Zimmer keine Fenster hatten Nur 11 Zimmer, 1 Zimmer hatte einen Balkon. Wie ekelhaft ist das? Als ich buchte, sah ich deutlich, dass dort Zimmer mit Balkon standen. Das Schlimmste war, dass es beim Frühstück nichts zu essen gab, voller Käse und nur Eier, kein Wasser, Tee und Kaffee im Hotel für die Gäste Wo andere in Istanbul all diese Dinge ohne zu zögern zur Verfügung stellen, wie ich schon einmal übernachtet habe, würde ich auf KEINEN FALL wieder hier übernachten! Das Schlimmste ist, dass einer der Rezeptionisten mich fragt, warum ich den Transport nicht beim Hotel gebucht habe und warum Sie 240 £ verlangen, wo ich ihn für 75 £ RETUN bekommen habe. Jedenfalls keine bösen Gefühle ...

Had an amazing 9 day stay at Maywood hotel. The staff were very helpful and were always on hand to assist in providing information to get to all the tourist areas. The breakfast was also nice and location was great. The rooms were set up and cleaned daily too!

Great location! Great staff! Rooms are very clean and quiet. I will stay there again if i visit Istanbul! Location is very close to a lot of attractions (Hagia sophia, Topkapi Palace, Grand bazaar). Staff is very friendly and always ready to help you!

I recently stayed at Maywood hotel in Istanbul and had a great experience. The room was very clean and quiet. The hotel is in the center of the city, close to many attractions. Special thanks to Mr. Mehmat and all the staff for their excellent service. I was pleasantly surprised with a gift at checkout. I highly recommend this hotel!

It was amazing. Our stay was for 6 days and the staff was really good. The room was big one and they clean everyday. Mustafa the receptionist always greet and make sure we are having a great time in istanbul. Hotel is very near to main tourist attractions like hagia sofia, blue mosque, grand bazaar, topkapi palace, basicila cistern just 10min walk or 5 min by tram.

The hotel is in very centre in Istanbul, close to port where starts sea transport. Around the hotel there are restaurants, shops, park Gulhane. You can visit every place from there. The hotel room is clean and big. You have bath cosmetics and everything that you need. The staff is kind and try to help. The breakfast is Turkish style but if you don’t like it you can eat eggs, cheese, salami, olives. I recommend this hotel and if I back in the city I will stay there again.

Our room was smaller than I had anticipated , with 2 small single beds even though we had booked a double. However it was clean and beds comfy and it had a safe and a fridge and the shower room had toiletries provided and we only had 2 nights here . Location fine for sightseeing in Istanbul. Breakfast was okay , - a buffet of Turkish foods but lack of western foods but at least I got cereal . Restaurant staff were struggling to get tables cleared and reset for the amount of people awaiting breakfast.

I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past and it has always been my favorite. This time was the first after the renovation that took place and as always it did not disappoint me. The location is excellent and although it is in the center of the old city, but also very close to all major attractions, it is quiet and above all safe. The rooms have been modernized, although the old furniture was equally excellent, and the soundproofing is very good. The staff is very kind (especially Ahmet and Alex), always with a smile and willing to help you with anything you need. Equally excellent and improved is the breakfast with a wide variety of cold and hot options, where there is now a very useful automatic coffee machine with a variety of 8 types of coffee, chocolate etc. The only thing that I would say was missing from the room, although it is relatively minor, was that although there is a water kettle in the room there were no tea, coffee and sugar sachets as there were in the past and as there are in all the corresponding hotels around the world. Overall, I highly recommend it! Thank you Maywood team for your hospitality! I look forward to visiting you again soon! My best wishes from Greece!
