An Taigh Mòr

What a beautiful B&B. Every part of our stay with Bill and Maggie was perfect. The architecture of the house is phenomenal, designed perfectly to absorb the wonderful surrounding landscape. Very cosy, modern rooms, with all the home away from home luxuries you could ask for. Bill and Maggie were incredibly hospitable and accommodating. Thank you for welcoming us into your home and allowing us to enjoy it whilst we stayed in Eriskay!

Our second visit to the fabulous An Taigh Mor and again we were not disappointed. The house sits in a fantastic location and Bill and Maggie are superb hosts . Along with Freya the Great Dane , they make you more than welcome into their stunning home. Rooms and en-suites are tastefully decorated and stylish. Whilst there is a generous hospitality tray in the bedroom, an added bonus is the guest lounge , sitting on a mezzanine level with views over the sea to Barra. . Attention to detail has been applied in all areas , especially the table settings at breakfast - these small things are what make a difference. You will definitely not go hungry with the varied choices on offer.! One of the best parts however is the outstanding friendliness of the hosts. We have travelled all over the Outer Hebrides and Eriskay is one of our favourite places,, An Taigh Mor is the icing on the cake. We will definitely be booking a third visit!

On our past few visits to the Outer Hebrides we have just driven through Eriskay on way to or from the ferry. This time we decided to stay on the island for a few nights, and we were delighted we did, even more so that we chose to stay here. A beautiful house, with amazing views, right next to the beach and a 5 min walk from a pub and 10 min walk from the island shop. Breakfasts were simply amazing, and Maggie and Bill were fab hosts. When we are back up we were certainly return. Our only suggestion would be to put a small fridge in the communal area for guests to use.

We stayed 5 days with Bill & Maggie in their lovely house right on the beach in Eriskay just down from Bonnie prince charlies landing spot on Eriskay. It is also walking distance from the lovely Politician pub of Whiskey fame. We had a fabulous trip exploring Barra, Eriskay North Uist, Benvecula, South Uist and Berneray all using Eriskay as a base. The bed was fabulous, shower was amazing and the breakfasts were the best I have ever had in a Bed & Breakfast all cooked fresh to order. Bill and Maggie are the the nicest hosts you could meet and I really will make an excuse to come back again to this most beautiful of spots. We loved watching the planes land on the beach at Barra airport on one day out.

Wow what an amazing place to stay . Spotlessly clean and super hosts in Maggie and Bill. We loved our room , including the lovely extra touches of the beautiful soaps and the mezzanine communal area with simply the best views . Breakfast was super delicious. Bed was so comfortable, slept the best I had all trip. Pub a 5min walk away. If we are in Eriskay again we certainly know where we will be staying . Oh and a big cuddle for Freya. Thank so for a fabulous few days

We stayed here June 2024, and found an absolute gem. Brilliant friendly hosts in Bill and Maggie, lovely room and an all round great experience. Breakfasts were amazing and Eriskay was everything we hoped for. Highly reccommend and we will be back.
