The Thistle Guesthouse

This is one of the best B&Bs I have ever stayed. Clean room, good bed, lovely and friendly hosts, very good breakfast, beautiful setting in the green countryside, good wifi, large parking space. Everything very good except a very, very small room (No 6) with an equally small bathroom (an 1.75 m man can't stand in front of the toilette). If you get a larger room it will be a perfect stay.

Fantastic bed and breakfast in a great location! We spent three days in Isle of Skye, and this was a very convenient jumping off point. Breakfast is delicious and completely customizable, even vegetarian options. You place your breakfast requests the night before. Check-in was contact-less. The room was comfortable with a strong hot shower and great bath products. It's about 10 minutes from Portree on a one track road in a very pretty country area with plenty of parking. If you love horses, you're in for a special view. The hosts are exceptional and very welcoming. The only negative was that it's a bit noisy if you're a light sleeper. Some travel tips since this is the first review: if you want a nice dinner in Portree, book the restaurant well ahead. There's a gas station just a few minutes away, and a Co-op and Boots in Portree. We used Skye laundry, and they picked up our wash from the guest house and returned it same day. Would definitely come back!
