Kenmore Bed and Breakfast

I had a fantastic stay being back to t-Eillean Sgitheanach.The host,s at the Kenmore B and B where warm, friendly and hospitable. The room was clean and tidy access to free WiFi and free view TV . Got a great breakfast,full and hearty, really sets you up for the day. Specially loved the yoghurt in the glass with fruit, was not expecting that, nice little touch. I'd give the Kenmore B and B 20 out of 10 ...and would give Billy a big thank you for graciously giving me a lift into town to catch my bus back home..Dia dhaoibh from Rodney

We spend a very nice stay in the Isle of Skye. The bed and breakfast is very close to Portree, very clean and tidy. The hosts Billy and Lucy were very kind to us and made us feel at home. We recommend it.

We stayed six nights at the Kenmore B&B and had a brilliant time. The room was comfortable and clean. Tea, biscuits and a fridge were provided. The location is only seven walking minutes from the town centre and out of hearing distance to the main road. The hosts were warm and welcoming and always up for a chat - we got some good advice for locations and sites off the beaten track. The breakfast was delicious and made by a chef! We'd totally stay there again.

I would give it zero stars if possible. Absolutely shockingly bad accommodations. Given how much we paid, these accommodations were absolutely not up to par. One of the other couples from our tour who also stayed in the same Kenmore B&B as us said they did not even have real pillows, but only folded up blankets inside pillowcases. There was a large live slug in our bathroom on the floor! The bathroom was shared with both the host and his wife. The towels smelled of mildew, and overall the place was not the cleanest. The hosts were surly, and did not seem to want us there in the least. Even if these accommodations had been free, they would still be unacceptable.

Like this place. The room & toilet were clean, but the thin walls between the rooms made it very difficult for us to sleep (we could hear the noise from inside the house). The facilities were just what we needed. The atmosphere was good enough. Very kind and friendly owner. Good chef. Good location. We will stay there again if we visit Portree in the future, and we recommend budget travellers to do the same.

L'accueil était sympathique, mais dès l'entrée, l'ambiance était donnée. Couloir en désordre. La chambre et la salle de bain étaient relativement propres mais un peu trop "roots" à notre goût. Le petit déjeuner était convenable mais un "vrai" café aurait été un minimum. nous devions traverser leur cuisine (pas très ordonnée !) privée pour aller prendre le petit déjeuner. l'extérieur de la maison n'est pas plus ordonné. C'est dommage, il y aurait de quoi faire, d'autant plus que le centre est à 5 minutes à pied.
