Ich muss gestehen, dass ich etwas besorgt war, nachdem ich in letzter Zeit einige schlechte Kritiken über das Hotel gelesen hatte, aber ich wurde positiv überrascht. Zunächst einmal die Aussicht und die Lage Die Aussicht vom Hotel ist wundervoll und die Lage ist perfekt, nur ein paar Schritte vom Strand Mylopotas entfernt. Auch die Bushaltestelle ist nur ein paar Schritte vom Hotel entfernt und eine Fahrt ins Zentrum von Chora kostet 1,60 €. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls ausgezeichnet. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer wurden täglich gereinigt. Das Hotel bietet einen Transferservice von Porto für 5 € pro Person und Strecke. An einigen Stellen im Hotel roch es wirklich nach Abwasser, aber das hat meine Bewertung nicht gemindert. Ich weiß, es ist störend, aber es ist ein Hotel mitten auf einer Insel, mitten im Mittelmeer. Ich weiß nicht, ob sie in Sachen Instandhaltung viel tun können, wissen Sie? Beachten Sie, dass es im Hotel (und in der Umgebung) viele Katzen gibt. Ich weiß, das fällt mir leicht, da ich ein Katzenliebhaber bin, aber Katzen brauchen einfach Liebe und Futter. Wenn Sie können, kostet eine Packung Katzenfutter auf dem Markt weniger als 3 €. Helfen Sie den Kätzchen. Ich gebe nur wegen des Restaurants einen Stern weniger. Wir hatten ein Problem mit der Bestellung, die falsch war, aber sie haben sich entschuldigt. Aber es ist auch ein extrem teures Risotto-Gericht mit sehr kleiner Portion. In Restaurants am Strand und im Zentrum von Chora finden Sie viel bessere Alternativen.

Very nice hotel, location is fantastic, onsite parking is a little hard to get to. Staff, management and service was amazing, breakfast was included and the choice and quality was very good. Rooms need a little updating other wise everything else was super!

＞ Since 2022, 3rd stay of 20 nights in this hotel in the mountains and by the sea. Beautiful view of the bay of mylopotas, appreciated by all age groups. Welcome and competent staff, helpful and pleasant. Rooms all sea view. Ios palace has a «boutique hotel» side with its alleys in pure Greek style. 2 beautiful swimming pools uncrowded. Very nice beach and not noisy. Sea of exceptional clarity. Hearty breakfasts and impeccable service. Clean and air-conditioned room. Nights windows open on very quiet bay. Special mention has all the staff, Yota, Sandy and Marilena and especially to Dimitrios the director «booking manager» available and efficient. Chora city accessible by bus or taxi is 8 minutes. Many restaurants and clubs popular with the younger. Mylopotas bay has restaurants including the famous Drakos famous for its grilled fish.

Billy (can’t spell her name beginning with “V”, funky 70s glasses), Effie, Chris & especially Costas are just the most lovely, welcoming & fun staff. It really makes a place!!! Joy who gave the massage was just brilliant. Brekkie was tasty & plentiful. Beds were comfortable & the view from every where in the hotel was just a feast for the eyes. The upstairs pool was just great as it wasn’t well used. Didn’t smell any sewage or experience mosquitos. The cats were my friends in the end. I cannot fault this place, I felt happy & at home here. We walked to Chora, not far. There are buses which are very regular. Be careful on the beach when there are boats coming as the waves can drag you under. I love this place, would highly recommend.

Where do I start. The hotel its self is very nice. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The room is well appointed and modern considering its Greece. We travel to Greece every year and split our month long vacation between the main land and the islands. We landed via the port and drove to the hotel. I am not one to complain and understand that this is Greece not Manhattan. I only book hotels with parking on the property to make it convenient for us. We used GPS to find the hotel and were taken down a very narrow steep poorly maintained road with steep inclines and sharp curves. Thinking the gps made a mistake we called the hotel and were advised we were at one of the parking sites. I have no issue driving in greece as I have been doing it for years. This road was unsigned and I considered it dangerous by my standards. We were unable to locate the parking lot and called the hotel. We were given the name of a restaurant by the staff to enter on our gps to locate the parking lot. We were told at that time we could park at the current location but when we asked the distance from our location the hotel was we were told it was not far but when the location of an alternate parking lot that we were given it turned out the distance was over 1.5 kms away. When we researched this hotel we were assured that parking was close to the hotel. I and never stayed at a location advertising the parking on site over a Km away. Unacceptable and we felt as we were victims of a fraud. We again began our downward decent on a very poorly maintained road that caused our vehicle to bottom out several times. Once we drove to the land mark restaurant provided by the staff we had to call again and request directions as there were no signs for directions to a parking lot. We had to be guided by staff to locate a parking lot that was near but not close to the hotel that was very steep and small. We were with another couple in a second vehicle and only found one parking spot. The parking in the area is very limited. Luckily we waited and a parked vehicle eventually left and our friends got a parking spot. The hotel is a larger hotel with very limited parking. When we questioned the staff about the parking we were advised that we could park off the hotel site at public parking lot 300 meters away. I asked why we needed to do this when the hotel advertised parking on site. Ridiculous! If you are handicapped or have health issues preventing you from walking or doing many stairs this is not the hotel for you. This is the first time we experienced this and felt defrauded as per the hotel description on booking. Having ranted about something as silly as parking. The grounds are nice and the rooms are clean. Having a knee issue at the time of our arrival and the parking situation caused me great agitation and anger feeling we were mislead. If you are young healthy and don’t need parking I would rate this hotel 5 out of 5. Having said this as a middle

This is a really lovely hotel. Great location near the beach and great restaurants. The main pool is lovely, very clean with very comfortable sun beds. The breakfast is truly lovely with lots of choices to suit everyone’s needs. We didn’t eat or drink much at the hotel other than breakfast as there are so many good restaurants on the doorstep which were excellent and more competitively priced. The staff are professional, helpful and friendly. We had a classic room with a sea view which we felt was adequate and a little tired and dated, but that maybe was more to our taste than any fault of the hotel. It would have been nice to have tea/coffee facilities in the room. However, overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
