I stayed at this lovely hotel for three nights while taking my trip round Scotland, and what a great experience we had the food was amazing and the staff too, had such a great time talking to the young boy behind the bar telling us all about the different whiskies. all the team members are offciant and helpful and really take on the responsibility of making what this little gem is all about, i would 100% recommend the stay for anyone. the room we had was amazing and the bed so comfortable with a lock view

Die Wohnung ist ein oberen Treppenhaus, die neue Dekoration ist sehr gut. Obwohl es sehr klein ist, hat es keine Auswirkungen auf die Wohnung. Der kleine Nachteil ist, dass die Gepäcktasche nicht sehr hoch ist 😂.

Das Hotel wurde bereits vor dem Aufenthalt im Voraus gesendet. Die Beschreibung des Aufenthalts für den gesamten Aufenthalt ist sehr reibungslos. Die Zimmerart ist sehr gut. Die einzige wunderschöne und schlechte Situation ist, dass das Hotel gegenüber dem Kanalwasserschrank etwas Geräusch hat, aber im Grunde kann es nicht hören, nachdem das Fenster geschlossen wurde.  Das Hotel hinter der Tankstelle ist ein Parkplatz, es ist auch sehr bequem, aber ich muss auf der anderen Seite der Straße parken, aber es ist kostenlos und geeignet für einen Freund, der sich selbst fahren kann.

Durch einen Anfahrtsweg durch einen Park erreicht man Hotel. Der Empfang und auch die Abreiseformalitäten verliefen sehr kühl und unpersönlich, jedoch höflich. Schade, denn das ist der erste und letzte Eindruck, den man hat. Das Zimmer und das Bad sind riesig und dem Stil entsprechend nett eingerichtet. Das Bett mit Baldachin war bequem. Es steht ein Wasserkocher für Tee und Kaffee zur Verfügung , allerdings keine Wasserflaschen. Alle Räume sind gepflegt und sauber. Es gibt einen wundervollen Salon mit Blick in den schönen Park und offenem Kamin. Hier kann man sich auch gern noch ein Getränk bestellen. Wir haben das Abendessen hier eingenommen, dass für 35 Pfund eher durchschnittlich war. Wir hatten 2 kleine Vorspeisen , die durchaus schmackhaft waren, jedoch war die Hauptspeise mit total trockenem Filet und ungenießbar hartem Fenchel eher unteres Niveau . Das Frühstück ist lecker, allerdings wartet man ewig auf die warme Speisen. Das Personal im Restaurant ist sehr freundlich und rührig.

I've been coming to this hotel for around 20 years, initially on business and now for leisure, and I visit every few years. In that time not much has changed, apart from the ownership. The hotel is still a beautiful building set in tranquil and wonderful grounds. The downstairs interior is stately and is tastefully decorated with an elegant bar, Lounge and Restaurant. Staff on Reception are polite and helpful But the hotel isn't without its issues which are 1) The bedroom furniture has been the same on every visit over the last 20 years and is showing its age 2) The carpet in the room we were given was actually threadbare in places and isn't what you expect 3) The lady waiting tables at breakfast is a joy. She is attentive, polite and helpful. The same cannot be said of the older gentleman working there who is ignorant and ignores people waiting to be seated. There is no need to be so rude and dismissive of people of all nationalities who are basically paying his wages ! 4) My biggest grumble of all is the lack of a premium lager in the hotel bar. Under previous management in the early 2000's they used to stock 1664 but now it's Carling (yuk!), Guinness, Scots ale or Cider. I would have spent a lot more time in there had they stocked better beer. That's a real own goal and other guests are of the same opinion.
