Whitebridge Hotel

Lovely family dinner on Saturday night. All staff were friendly, they were also very busy! I love the random decorations and the classic highland feel. Food was all delicious, hot and fresh. Would 100% recommend! Lesley and her team could not be faulted.

The nicest roast I've had in a long time! This was the perfect treat after a long day of driving from Edinburgh. Whilst on a family road trip with my 2 Australian cousins I stumbled across this after some Google searching for places to eat in and around Fort Augustus . The reviews really do speak for themselves! I phoned up hopeful for a spot for Sunday dinner and the lady I spoke to was more than happy to accommodate us despite it clearly being busy! (The first good sign!). We are staying in Fort Augustus tonight and it was just a 15 minute drive - beautiful and very scenic to get to this restaurant. On arrival the lady I spoke to was immediately welcoming and friendly and the atmosphere was so warm and cosy. As it was a Sunday we were given the option of the 1/2/3 course set roast menu, but also informed we had some options on the normal menu to. We all opted for a 2 course roast. Myself, my father and my cousin all had the lamb kofta starter. WOW. Clearly fresh chilli and garlic which was beautiful and you could just tell it is freshly cooked. It was bloody lovely!!! My other cousin had the haddock croquette starter and also commented how lovely it was. We then all had roast lamb for main, which did incur a 4£ supplement but it was so worth it! As this only takes the 2 course meal up to £25.95 which in my eyes is a bargain for a 2 course roast! The roast lamb was beautiful. The gravy was lovely and the mint sauce and veg just all tasted lovely fresh and cooked perfectly. I'm so glad we found this spot as we were all craving home cooked good food after days of eating 'pub grub' on our journey up here. If you're heading in this direction or staying near by I would highly recommend. The staff are wonderful, the food is beautiful and incredibly reasonably priced. Especially considering the location you are in (which is lovely and very picturesque). I wish I had room for dessert as I saw some sticky toffee pudding arrive to another table and it also looked delicious! Its a shame this place isn't closer to home for me although I would consider a 1000 mile round trip for another slice of that yummy lamb! (And maybe leave some room for the sticky toffee pudding!!) Thankyou so much for a lovely evening and for being so accommodating.

We stayed at the Whitebridge Hotel for two nights and had a brilliant time. Check-in was easy, and our room was spacious and clean. We had dinner both nights, and the food was excellent and great value. Our room was cleaned during a two-night stay - where does that still happen these days!? Though we didn’t spend much time around the hotel aside from dinner and breakfast, the staff quickly learned our room number and were always friendly. Tracy and Sarah on dinners were brilliant at keeping the whole service moving even though it was busy. Breakfast was very good, and Sue and Jinny were a treat. The hotel’s stylised décor works well and, despite all that boldness, the place was spotless. Owners Lesley and Bella have set a great tone, with the staff, prices, quality, and ambiance all on point. Well done, everyone.

Visited the Whitebridge Hotel for a bar meal and was a little disappointed after reading other reviews Staff were very pleasant and efficient but unfortunately the food was not what as expected for the price we paid. Lasagne was stodgy and not very tasty and found chicken skin in curry. Was not value for money for us

We all called into the white bridge for lunch . It’s was super staff were amazing . Fish and chips were yummy definitely going back . We had been out For a lovely walk around the area . Very beautiful place to see lovely old 17th century bridge awesome

The Whitebridge was hands down our favorite place of everywhere we went in Scotland. The nearby Lochs and vistas are incredible, the food was amazing, our room was clean, comfortable, and cozy, and the staff were so kind and lovely. We couldn’t have had a better stay! We wished we could have stayed for three weeks.
