Our home was once used as executive suites for a local multimillion dollar mining company. We've outfitted each large bedroom with King beds to ensure you feel like an executive during your stay. The home is unique because it's a 'modern' property in a historic town, boasting a lovely mid-century modern feel with two master bedroom on-suite bathrooms and an open concept floor plan. Our downstairs has kid space and storage for gear. The Tabor House was constructed around 1895 and is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.  It has all the charm of a Victorian style home with modern amenities and located just two short blocks from downtown Wallace, Idaho.Although the home is not ADA compliant, there are only three short steps to enter the front of the home with a main floor bedroom. The second and third floors are accessible by stairways.THE MAIN FLOOR-has 1 bedroom with a king-sized bed and 37" flat screen TV with Roku. A USB rapid charger is located on the wall facing the backyard. The living room has a cozy gas fireplace with remote, a 50" flat screen with Roku and Netflix, a DVD player with a selection of DVDs, games, puzzles and a book exchange. A Wii game console is located next to the DVD for family gaming. A Shuffleboard table is now located in the dining room. A CD Jukebox with free play is located in the living room.There is a spacious and well supplied eat in kitchen with microwave, glass top range, dishwasher, and full size fridge/freezer with ice maker. There is a large formal dining room, full bath, washer, dryer and gas BBQ (located on the backyard patio area).  Just inside the back door entrance is a mud room to put your skis and boots. There is also a radio flyer wagon to pull the kids around town or to get groceries as well as bikes to ride. There is ample parking on the street. Additional covered parking for your motorcycles, ATVs, bicycles, vehicle, etc. can be found at the rear of the residence.We hope you will enjoy the beautiful front porch (our personal favorite).  Wave to the visitors on the trolley as it goes by or if you are lucky, watch the elk or moose traipse through town. THE SECOND FLOOR-offers 3 more bedrooms and a full bathroom.  Two rooms have queen-sized beds and one room has a double/full.  There are flat screen TVs (32") in all the bedrooms also with  Roku, and lots of closet space. These rooms also have USB rapid chargers located along the wall which are labeled for identification. THE THIRD FLOOR-Or attic has recently been finished with new carpet, drywall, paint, windows. Because we are big on safety, we installed emergency exit (egress) windows.There is also an emergency escape ladder located in a silver plastic storage container in the room. We like to think of this floor as great for the youth in your group as it has 4 single beds in private alcoves (thanks to the gabled ceiling), a bubble hockey machine, 32" flat screen with Roku, and a classic Nintendo console (remember those?) with games for their enjoyment.   This of course does not mean that adults would not find this area fun also!There are five security cameras located at the front, rear and side of the residence. The cameras are live and recording.We accept pets up to 50lbs with a limit of 2 furry family members. There is a one-time fee of $25.00. HISTORY & ARCHITECTURE: The Church House is a 2-bedroom vacation rental listed on the National Register of Historic Places in Wallace, Idaho. The building was originally a tiny chapel, built around 1905 to serve the local mining population. The main room features stained glass arched windows and vaulted barrel ceiling with a living area, long dining table, open kitchen, and old-time upright piano. Gorgeous! NEW March 2022: just added a brand new furnace with central air conditioning!NEW 2023: a gorgeous new shower! SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS: Two bedrooms flank the main room. The queen bedroom features French doors to the brick patio; the king bedroom features stained glass windows. Both rooms are cozy with comfy beds. There is a twin daybed in the living room. Additionally, there is a fold-out loveseat in the entry/vestibule area and a rollaway bed that can be placed anywhere (niether is great for Grandma or Grandpa, but ok for the kiddos!).BATHROOM: One small but cute bathroom, located next to the Queen room, has a shower, no tub. Towels and toiletries provided.LOCATION: Conveniently located across from the historic library right on the edge of the business core, it's a very easy walk to all the shops, restaurants, museums, tours, and pubs. It's also right across the way from the Couer D'Alene bike trail/river, and has easy highway access for the nearby Route of the Hiawatha bike trail, Lookout Pass Ski Resort, and Silver Mountain Ski Resort. It's super easy to find when you arrive, right on the main road into town. There's tons to do in Wallace, and staying at the Church House will put you in easy proximity to all of it.AMENITIES: The full kitchen is quirky since it used to be a coffee shop, but it has all you'll need to cook a meal, including a full sized fridge and stove/oven, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker and coffee, pots/pans, dishes, utensils, cooking oil and some spices, etc. It does only have one very small sink currently, and no dishwasher, so you might find it more convenient to eat out with lots of great options a very short walk away. There is also a washer and dryer that guests can use, and a cabinet full of board games -- plus a nice big table to play them on. The TV is on a rolling cart and can be moved to wherever you'd like to watch TV; it has an Amazon firestick for movies, shows, and music, plus a DVD player and a collection of DVDs.EXTERIOR SPACES: There is no backyard but there is a nice large brick patio on the front/side, with table and chairs to enjoy a glass of wine or morning coffee with mountain/forest views and the sound of the river (and yes, the occasional semi passing by on the highway -- unfortunately). PARKING is available on the street just steps from the door. Bikers may bring expensive bikes into the house if they'd like; there's room in the entry area to park them.SMOKING allowed outside away from all open doors and windows. PETS allowed with a $15/nt. fee per pet. No pets allowed on furniture.
