The home is located at the end of a residential street. It is located next door to Erik Hansen Scout Park, a small community park and contains a bronze statue of a Boy Scout overlooking the Cook Inlet. Interpretive displays point out many physical features of the landscape and a memorial plaque is attached to the base of the statue. Park includes few trees, some shrubs, two flower gardens, and a gravel walkway leading to the bluff’s edge.
