LOCATION!! Skip the 1-2 mile car line leading up to the canyon on powder days!! Police stop traffic from entering Little Cottonwood when the canyon is closed for avalanche control. You are positioned to enter the canyon ahead of the line once they open. And if you leave for breakfast and want to come back to the house, just tell the police you are heading to your house on Quarry Drive. They will let you through. The house is within walking distance of three trailheads for winter snowshoeing or summer hiking:1. Alpenbock Loop - easy 1 mile loop for hiking, mountain biking, and rock climbing2.
