The cozy Great room has an updated kitchen with open floor plan to the Dining and Living room areas, all with 180 degree views. The Kitchen is fully stocked with all the cookware and dining ware to accommodate our guests. The Living room area features a stone fireplace(aesthetic only),as well as a flat screen television. There is a Foyer/Entry for coats, or to sit and work on a puzzle. The large, bright downstairs bedroom off the Foyer with a queen bed, ample storage and a bay window. Also off the Foyer is a updated full bath.The Master bedroom on the second floor has a Queen size bed, bay window overlooking the natural rock seawall and open ocean, a lounging area ,wardrobe closet and private access to full bath. There is a sitting area with full size futon which leads to a unique guest room with two twin beds and breathtaking views. All bedrooms feature flat screen satellite television,wi-fi internet connection and electric heat. You can relax, listening to the waves from the large deck overlooking Petit Manan lighthouse to Schoodic Point with the many ledges in between. The area offers lots of outdoor activities including Schoodic Arts For All, sightseeing and hiking or biking at the nearby Schoodic Woods portion of Acadia National Park.The Corea Heath National Wildlife Refuge is an idyllic hike through an active heath. ANP includes the Schoodic Education and Research Center where you can learn about the flora and fauna of the area.There are bicycle and kayak rentals in the nearby town of Winter Harbor, as well as a bank, grocery store, 5&10, local shops, eateries and a ferry service to Bar Harbor which offers numerous activities and dining. Our recently updated,family home is located in Corea, a small friendly fishing village located in downeast Maine. We are about 45-60 minutes, by car, to Bar Harbor. We are about 5 minutes to Schoodic National Park, in Winter Harbor. Which is a part of Acadia National Park.We can accommodate up to 9 guests. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed, one of the upstairs bedrooms also has a queen bed and the other upstairs bedroom has 2 sets of bunk beds; 1 is a twin over a full size bed and the other is a twin over a twin. There is a full bathroom downstairs and a half bath upstairs. Our home comes equipped with a full sized refrigerator, an electric stove, a microwave, a coffee pot, linens, towels, dishes, utensils, wi-fi, a smart tv with netflix. On our deck we have a propane grill and a patio set with a propane fire pit coffee table and a large yard great for outdoor entertaining. You can buy fresh, local lobster a mile away at Corea Lobster Co-Op or you can enjoy Lunch on the Wharf at Corea 1/2 mile away. Some other local dining options are ‘The Pickled Wrinkle’ in Birch Harbor and ‘Gerrishes’ located in Winter Harbor.We are only about 10 minutes from Winter Harbor where you can enjoy the Schoodic Point section of Acadia National Park or take the Ferry for a day trip to Bar Harbor.Local activities include hiking, biking, fishing, boating, kayaking and beach combing.
