VT is a naturally cold place and there is always the possibility of broken heat or no hot water for which we are not responsible. If snow or cold temperatures are in the forecast, please come prepared with enough food should adverse weather cause challenges getting to / leaving our home.-During the winter season, you can expect snowy conditions, icy roads, and occasional snowstorms. An All-Wheel Drive (AWD) or Four-Wheel Drive (4WD) vehicle is required to book this property. Please exercise extra caution when driving and ensure your vehicle is adequately prepared for snowy conditions.-Please be aware that inclement weather may lead to power outages or internet disruptions. Additionally, there is a private ski-home trail from Mt Snow that comes to Bears Crossing. Stratton ski resort is a 25-minute drive from the house.Hiking • The Green Mountain National Forest is a great place to hike around and explore Haystack Mountain Trail.
