CREEK SAFETY:During summer the creek is usually a bit more shallow making the side creek easy to cross and fun to walk through where you will discover baby trout and frogs. During very heavy rainfall and storms, which could happen any time of year, the flow can be strong, like a fast river, a spectacular site indeed. You absolutely MUST keep a safe distance and respect nature during these times. Callicoon Creek has a deep swimming hole of 5-7 feet year round! Children must be supervised around water.
