Each bedroom has a pair of bedside tables with a pair of lamps and an alarm clock. Each bedroom also comes equipped with an antique dresser as well as a closet with added storage.A full bath has good water pressure with toiletries and hair tools provided. The main bedroom has a 55” picture-frame-style 4K TV (HDR) with streaming.A large fully-equipped chef's kitchen with quartz countertop and modern stainless-steel appliances: Thermador gas range, a powerful hood, a large French-door fridge, a dishwasher and a spacious built-in microwave drawer. There are pots, pans, dinner ware and several small appliances: a toaster, a kettle, a coffee maker and an air fryer.There is a 77” 4K (OLED, HDR) TV in the living room with Netflix, Amazon PV, Max, Apple TV+, Paramount, Hulu and Disney. The latest Xbox Series X to entertain you during evenings as well as 4k Blu-ray playback. A number of recent 4K UHD Blu-ray films are provided. There is also a ‘Art Gallery’ board game.For those working remotely, there is fast WiFi, a desk. Warm evenings are great to spend outside! There is very private, fenced yard with a couple of comfortable chairs outside to enjoy a book or a good conversation.There is designated parking for 1 car is provided on the private driveway (see photo of designated parking area). There is also additional free street parking for guests arriving in 2+ cars.You will have access to the whole apartment. There is key-less entry with a provided code. There will be fresh towels and toiletries provided in the bathroom. In addition, Black Cow, our local coffee shop, is a 5 min walk. Black Cow has a large variety of different coffee from all around the world and they roast their coffee beans themselves.Usually I am available to meet and greet all guests. The apartment offers privacy if you prefer but I can also suggest things to do and provide directions to nearby attractions and landmarks as needed.Although Croton on Hudson is a suburb of New York City, there are some wild animals and birds that you may encounter from time to time. During summer time there are blue jays and other birds living in magnolia trees near the house and on occasion deer and raccoons could be spotted. A beautiful hawk lives nearby and can be seen in the morning as it flies above the house.Away from industry and pollution, enjoy a breath of clean air and the outdoors. If you go hiking, take note that poison ivy has been spotted in the area and, as always, there are risks of ticks in any woods and tall grass, so dress appropriately. There is abundant information about ticks and tick bites on internet, it is worthwhile to be informed.Streets in the village are illuminated but driveways tend to be a bit darker. It is noticeably darker at night on the street, compared to a large city like New York, but as an added bonus, you could see stars! Mars’ red dot is easily seen with a naked eye as well as white dots of Jupiter and Saturn. A quiet place if you want to start that elusive novel. The carriage house site, with an accessible dock right on the super-pure Croton River, offers kayaking, fishing or swimming . Lots of nature trails, including those surrounding Hudson National Golf Club. Good eating in the village including the Ocean House and Fratellis. Baked by Susan and Little Star Pastry offer great breakfast fare and desserts. The Black Cow is the local coffee house, offering own-roasted beans. The house itself is newly renovated with a brand-new kitchen and main bathroom. There is free Wi-fi and your own Amazon Echo smart speaker for your weather, news and music needs. A stereo system in the downstairs living room offers a supply of vintage CDs with jazz, rock and folk favorites. A small library of classic novels can be found in the upstairs dining/sitting room. As hosts, we live in the main house of the property, which offers off street parking and some bicycles if you want to explore the area. Silver Lake, a hidden village beach, is just up the street if you don't want to swim alone at the property amid the ducks, geese and bald eagles.
