Taking its name from the old country dialect word for 'woodpecker', Yaffle Barn is approached at 1st floor level, over a contemporary glass bridge into a spacious living area, with inset woodburner, large comfy sofas and kitchen area, big bifold doors from which you can view the garden, orchard and grazing horses. In addition to large interactive TV and radio, the room is decorated with a striking mix of limewash and Farrow and Ball paints.The spiral staircase descends to the ground floor where the 2 large bedrooms are found, each with its own large bifold door, ensuite bathroom and Morroccan plaster feature wall, the remaining walls and ceilings finished in Farrow and Ball.One looks out to the front of the property, the other to the rear, each has its own private seating area, ensuite bathroom with hansgroghe rainshower, and one has a large bath.Each bedroom is equipped with luxury towels and toiletries, hairdryer, TV and radio, we have our own sheepskins on the floor and each double bed has our own white cowhide bed cover.The Barn is set in the beautiful Monmouthshire countryside adjoining an open access Wildlife reserve for circular walks from the doorstep. The Wye Valley, Usk river and fishing, Brecon Beacons, Forest of Dean, Symonds Yat, Cardiff and Bristol all within easy striking distance,We are within10 minutes from the lovely town of Usk, and have a fabulous pub ( The Greyhound) a 40 minute walk from the propertyThe Snug adjoins Yaffle Barn at first floor level and the two can be booked together to provide accommodation for 8-10 guests .
