Pepin is also the original home of American author Laura Ingalls Wilder and has a museum dedicated to her and the early settlers of the area. Gift shops and metal art are plentiful in town as well.Pepin itself can delight for a full weekend but if you'd like to explore the area by car or motorcycle the towns of Bay City, Maiden Rock, Stockholm, Nelson, Alma, Fountain City, Wabasha, Lake City, Frontenac, and Red Wing are all within 45 minutes or less from Pepin Guest Haus.
