My husband and I got married here at the Glass Magnolia in late April of this year and we couldn’t have chosen a better place in the region! It’s located in a prime location that is surrounded by some of the best wineries as well as state parks. The hosts Nancy and Wally are not only phenomenal, kind people but they’re both very experienced professionals that have many years of success in the hospitality business. Wally is a fantastic chef that cooks some of the best food we’ve tasted, and both him and Nancy made the entire process of setting up our elopement such a pleasant and hassle-free experience. The third host there, Gus, was one of the sweetest dogs we’ve ever hung out with and was definitely a highlight of our stay. We stayed for three days and two nights and during the entire time Wally, Nancy, and Gus were very accommodating to our needs. The entire B&B property has two historical buildings that are lovely and charming inside and outside, and each room they have available has its own particular charm and uniqueness. We stayed in the Windsor room which was spacious, clean, and provided a comfortable night’s sleep and the space we needed to get ready for our ceremony. The wine tour Nancy arranged for us was even better than we had anticipated from all of the fantastic wine we ended up purchasing to our wonderful tour-guide Bonnie that we were set up with. Although our stay was short, we had such a delightful time being there and getting married there as well; staying there was like being at home as the hosts are such warm, welcoming people that we enjoyed hanging out with, and the property itself is cozy and welcoming as well. We can’t wait to stay here again in the future! If you’re looking for an ideal overnight stay in the area, or a place to even tie the knot, then we would definitely recommend Glass Magnolia.
