Apartments Golden Roof by Penz

Location great in old town Innsbruck. Reception is actually a 20 minute walk away which we were not notified about. Had to call and then drag our luggage to the reception and back again in the cold, Day 2 our entry card stopped working and staff were unable to fix it which left us outside all day in the cold. Staff member Patrick eventually let us have the main key so we could get in. Apartment was clean and spacious although quite tired. Other than location, would not recommend.

Zero information on how to check in to the property (not at the apartment location), zero response to messages, locked out of building multiple nights with faulty key cards and had to walk across town to the hotel that manages the apartments to have them re-coded. This place is a joke.

Excellent location, excellent apartment! Only complaint would be I didn’t know where to park and didn’t know checkin was in a different building. It would have been nice to know this prior to securing the room.

The apartment was excellent. A few quirky things to consider. Small elevator for one. But otherwise excellent. One big downside was the lack of instructions from Stage 12 hotel to get to the apartment and getting to stage 12 hotel in the first place. These instructions require significant attention.

The check in of this apartment is at the Stage 12 hotel so be mindful when booking this apartment. The hotel is only a few minutes away. The apartment is just opposite the famous Golden roof. Our room gave a direct view of the landmark. Also, the lift does not go to the ground floor. You will need to take the stairs to the first floor to be able to take the lift. The lift did not work on our first day despite several tries. It was quite complex to move our luggage to our room with one of us having to go to the fifth floor and call the lift from there. The key is to use the key card on the lift sensor and choose the floor number. We had to have the hotel re activate the card for us to make it work. The heater and washing machine did not work on the first night. We had to restart the heater and it worked fine the next morning only. There is no reception at this apartment. On the ground floor is a bar and no help at all on-site, though bar owners were very nice and chatty. The building is an old building but it's location was just great and close to almost everything. Staff at the hotel reception was very nice and helpful. We were given the pent house on the top floor and the view from our apartment was simply amazing. The apartment was spacious with two large beds, one sofa, one dining table, big kitchen, one bathroom. Though old, the apartment was very well equipped. It would have made things more pleasant for us if we did not have the issues with the heater and washing machine, and if they had prepared some instructions for us on how to operate these in case of encountering any issues as I understood from other reviews that other customers had similar issues.

It was a very nice apartment but there was no air conditioning which made our stay very uncomfortable. The apartment is also located in a very good location in the square at the old town but this also made it very loud especially having to sleep with the windows open for air. Overpriced for an apartment with no air!

Very accessible and comfortable apartment for stay We stayed 4 nights. The apartment is very well located, easier for us to enjoy the most from the city. Within walk distance to major tourist destinations and also public transport. We need to check-in at other hotel, which is a few minutes walk, and to access the apartment you need to go through a cafe, which is very unusual, but the people were very friendly, and after a while, it does not feel strange anymore. We happy with the apartment and definitely would stay there again.
