Firstly, this was a very important stay! It was mine and my future husband’s Wedding Weekend. We arrived at the Best Western Ivy-Hill Hotel and we’re immediately greeted by smiley and welcoming Lauren who began taking our details for checking in. We had booked the Honeymoon Suite as it was to be our Wedding the following day at nearby Newland Hall, Roxwell. The warm, friendly and massively accommodating Libby (the Hotel’s Manager) was around the corner and came out to welcome us and wish us well for our upcoming weekend. Straight away we were at ease. The staff from here onwards were just perfection. Caring, approachable, efficient and attentive. Nothing was too much and every request was dealt with with no bother. We had a meal for 11 in the glorious BARTELLAS Restaurant that evening. The wonderful host, LORNA couldn do enough for us. But by no means was she intrusive or encroaching on our meal. She was accommodating, fun and full of life and I can 100% say that she made our evening! Of course the food was scrumptious, but without Lorna’s treatment, it wouldn’t have been the evening we had! The morning of our big day we chose to have a few drinks outside in the glorious sunshine, and again, Libby was there to add another finishing touch in the was of a few complimentary nibbles. The wedding was just perfect, and we returned, along with over 30 of our friends and family who were also staying at the Ivy-Hill and the night porter kept us going serving us in the bar until we’ll after the time we expected to bar would close!! The breakfasts were out of this world! I couldn’t fault a thing. And they also had oat milk for our coffee (which isn’t always the case at many hotels!) The room was stunning! Decadent in its decor and romantic, we absolutely loved it! It was the PERFECT stay for our Wedding Weekend! Libby, Lorna, Lauren and the rest of the staff, THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for making our ‘Once in a Lifetime’ Weekend above and beyond what we hoped and wished for! Absolut fantastisch! Wir kamen hier zweimal für das Frühstück, das Sie zu bieten haben. Wirklich war ein brillantes Frühstück! Es war so viel zu viel zu wählen, und umgeben von einer wunderbaren Erfahrung! Würde sicherlich jemand auch kommen und erleben Sie es selbst, der Service war auch fabulös! Würde 100% zurückkommen 😊

Great stay. Clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly staff, Dawn, Rose and Jen were the ones that stood out the most for us very helpful staff would stay again. breakfast and great for the price and the pizzas from the dinner menu was outstanding

Das Rezeptionpersonal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wenn ich versucht habe, das Personal zu prüfen, hatte ich nicht meinen Namen, sondern nur meine Freunde, obwohl ich derjenige war, der für das Zimmer bezahlt hat? Bar-Essen war schön genug, aber ziemlich teuer über £18 für 1 Panini, 1 Chips, weich trinken & Tee! Das Zimmer war sauber und gemütlich und sehr ruhig, aber leider hatte nicht das beste Schlaf, da das Bett war wirklich unbehaglich, Frühlinge durch die Matrix und wirklich schüchtern harte Pilze auch, was eine Schande war! Stayed there as music event was on at the Colchester Park and looked like it was the nearest hotel to it but walking there was a bit tough as had to go across a main road and through a dodgy street behind an industrial building that wasn’t Nach der Veranstaltung musste man die lange Reise durch die Stadt zurück zum Hotel gehen.

Das Zimmer war ziemlich kalt, mit den besten Bemühungen konnte der Strahler das ganze Zimmer nicht vollständig warm halten.

Haben Sie vor und werden wieder bleiben. Sehr schön, einige Zimmer können ein wenig date, aber es ist eine persönliche Vorliebe, wir mögen sie. Personal alle sehr freundlich, und das wirklich uns alle Mitarbeiter von oben bis unten, willkommen und hilfreich.

Hier ist sehr nahe von meiner Kundenfirma, so dass ich nachher zu Hause komme und es gibt ein chinesisches Restaurant in der Nähe, das billige und leckere chinesische Mahlzeiten essen kann, und der Service des Geschäftpersonals auf dieser Seite ist sehr gut!!
