Thermen Hotels in Inawashiro

I stayed here for 10 nights over Christmas whilst visiting my daughter who is working as a ski instructor at Inawashiro Global ski school. I was a little disappointed to find how far out of inawashiro the hotel was, but it runs a regular shuttle bus to/from Inawashiro train station and getting to town was straight forward (although it did stop running at 5pm). The twin bedroom I had was very spacious and well equipped. It was cleaned daily (if I managed to get out of bed in time to allow them in..!). You had to reserve a time to eat, both dinner and breakfast which unless you did so early may have made it difficult to get the time you wanted. The breakfast times were too early for my liking, but the restaurant started serving lunch at 11am, so many days I simply had a brunch intead. Lunch was Italian type food and for £20, you could have a gourmet 3 course meal - very good value and very nice. The spa/swimming pool was great and a lovely place to spend a couple of hours. It costs ¥1500 which is fine for a couple of hours and it was only ¥500 for a return visit. The buffet dinner was fantastic and it had something for everyone. Although it was very Japanese orientated (we were in Japan after all) I found it to be fantastic; even my daughter, who is very fussy found plenty to eat. The hotel shop, along with all the vending machines provided all the snacks and drinks you could want and all very reasonably priced. What I would have liked is a bar area to sit and relax in with my book. As I was on my own, not having somewhere to sit and mix with others was disappointing. Maybe it's not a Japanese thing to do.... English is not very widely spoken in this area and even amongst the hotel staff communication was tricky, however Google translate was our savior and with patience and perseverance we always manged to get sorted without too much problem. Regardless of the language barriers the staff couldn't have been more friendly, helpful or polite. I appeared to be the only western person, so perhaps English isn't required much, but if the hotel wants to appeal to, and to encourage tourists from the west, then perhaps this needs a little improvement. Although I was able to travel to the station in the mini bus (booking required, but always plenty space) and then I could get the free ski bus from the station to the inawashiro ski paradise slopes, it would have been useful and a big plus, if the hotel ran their buses to the slopes also. I'm led to believe from other reviews that they used to do this some years ago, but not any longer. Taxis are pricey, so make use of the hot shuttle if possible is definitely recommended. All in all, this is a nice place to stay, very comfortable with plenty good quality food and friendly helpful staff.

今回は紅葉の時期にお邪魔しました！ 磐梯吾妻スカイラインと五色沼を見てこちらにチェックインをさせていただきました！ 素泊まりで21時までにゆっくりチェックインなのが助かります。 お風呂も大浴場でゆっくり入れてとてもあったまりました！ 冬季は猪苗代スキー場のすぐ近くなので、スキー乾燥室も完備なのがとても良かったです！ ご飯は無いですがラウンジの隣にホットプレートとか炊飯器もありお米を炊いてスーパーで買ってきたものを焼くくらいはできそうです♪ 冬にもまた今度ぜひ来てみたいです！

今までの経験では、ペンションにはいろいろ裏切られてきましたが、今回、認識を改めされられました。 オーナーの全てにわたる、良い意味でのこだわり満載のペンションでした。 部屋は、ダブルの部屋で若干狭いかなと思いきや、だんだん、落ち着いてくる不思議な感覚でした。もちろん、清潔そのもの。風呂は、別棟の露天風呂が2か所ありますが、洗い場が広く、風呂も大きく、ゆったり感が満載でした。本棟にも風呂があります。 特筆すべきは、食事です。イタリアンベースの料理ですが、素材の新鮮さ、高級素材（例えば、チーズは、パルミジャーノレッジャーノ、黒毛和牛など）を惜しげもなく使用しています。料理数は少ないように思えたのですが、１品の量が多く、最後の黒毛和牛のタリアータは、肉の量が多く、更に白米が出てくるのですが、信じられないくらい美味しいご飯でしたが、すでに満腹状態で、少ししか食べられませんでした。 朝食には、ハンバーガーが提供されるのですが、新鮮な野菜、オーストラリア産牛肉が挟んであり、美味しい。クロワッサンも、素晴らしい味。アイスも自家製。 とにかく、一切妥協をしない、経営姿勢に感服した次第。 全体的には、安すぎるとすら思える宿泊体験でした。ぜひ、再訪したいオーベルジュペンションです。

Wir waren einfach von der Service und Gastfreundschaft in diesem Hotel abgeschossen. Seit der Zeit, als wir eingecheckt, auch wenn sie sehr wenig Englisch sprechen, wir uns begrüßt und gut beobachtet. Wir möchten vor allem den Manager, Kobiyama, herausfinden, der uns so hilfreich war, unsere Ausflüge zu organisieren, und sogar uns zum Bahnhof und in die Hügel bis zum Goshiki-numa Seen – und forderte nichts zu begleichen! Wir wurden von seiner Großzügigkeit erniedrigt. Das Hotel liegt nur wenige Kilometer von der Stadt entfernt, so dass das Auto haben sicher eine gute Idee, da es wirklich nicht viel um die unmittelbare Gegend gibt. Genau unten den Hügel durch einen Waldweg ist ein Schrein. Und durch das ist ein schöner Wasserrennen, der Sie für Meilen und Meilen in beide Richtungen laufen können. Das Hotel ist groß, 3 oder 4 Geschichten, und setzt unter Wald und grünen Grasen – ziemlich eine schöne Lage! Der oberste Stock des Hotels hat sogar Seeblicke über den See Inawashiro. Der Tennisplatz wurde seit Jahren nicht genutzt und ist in dicken Moss - unbrauchbar. Auch haben sie keine Fahrräder mehr zur Vermietung. Unser japanisches Stilzimmer war von mittlerer Größe, hell und luftig, sauber und gut gepflegt. Wir hatten einen Balkon mit schönen Blicken über den Boden und aus zum See in der Entfernung. Es gab keine Badewanne oder Dusche, so dass wir die Würfel gerade unten auf der Straße nutzen mussten. Das WiFi war gut und es gab auch ein Fernseher, das wir nie verwendet haben. Das AC funktionierte gut. Das Frühstück war nichts besonderes, typisches traditionelles japanisches Preis, aber wir haben am zweiten Tag dort Eier und Hanf gekauft. Wir haben ein tolles Abendessen, ein Satz von lokalem Rindfleischbäck, frischem Fruchtsalat und Salat, und es war wahrscheinlich einer der besten Bäckereien, die ich hatte. Insgesamt hatten wir einen tollen Aufenthalt und liebten die tolle Gastfreundschaft. Wir würden dieses Hotel definitiv anderen Reisenden empfehlen.
