I loved everything about my week in Score valley hotel.The beautiful tranquil location, comfortable room, delicious breakfast and friendly,warm atmosphere thanks to perfect hosts Donna and Paul.I felt so relaxed about taking our new puppy there.I can't wait to return and not just for the best breakfast ever.

Clean, comfy beds, good quality tea bags in rooms, instant coffee rather than coffee bags. Bathrooms come with toiletries which is helpful. Breakfast - quality of sausages and bacon good, tomatoes well cooked so almost stewed and flavorful. Appreciated the quaint decor - ducks in entry hall, rabbits in dining hall, certain themes in each room - we had a stag theme, others had plant theme. Welcome from Dawn was warm and Paul was a friendly presence. Lounge with well stocked honesty bar. Charming touches throughout. Just beware of the sharp turn onto the main road. Some care needed in driving.

What a gem, Situated between Ilfracombe and Woolacombe in a secluded valley. Can’t speak highly enough of Donna and Paul the proprietors. Wonderful grounds, nothing too much to help you and fantastic breakfast. The room we had (8) was spacious and very comfortable. Nice to see trusting people who have an honesty bar. Really enjoyable stay. Thanks Donna and Paul.

This is such a lovely country house to stay in. Easy parking and in keeping with the house. Wonderful kept garden, lawn. Met at reception by Donna who is the owner along with her husband Paul. Very relaxed check in , no rushing, just nice pleasant chat and a bit of banter. Our room was on the top floor. Lovely large room. Big bathroom with bath and shower. Loved the views through the trees and looking down onto the grounds. I loved the character of the decoration through out the country house. Lots of funny witty signs. Not lots of information signs like you see in hotel chains. The lounge area has a well stocked honesty bar and lots of table top games , which kept us amused:) Breakfast was lovely. For me a great selection of cereals fresh milk. I ordered the full English breakfast. Thanks to Paul the breakfast was cooked to my liking with everything I like. I stayed with a group of friends as we Where cycling route 27 coast2Coast heading south to Plymouth. The perfect location to start our adventure and also to end our adventure. Will recommend to friend as the perfect place to stay and explore north Devon. Thanks again Donna and Paul you are the best and we wish you a very exciting 2024

Vey impressed, this is more a bijou hotel than a guest house, the setting is wonderful in a small valley. Our room had recently been redecorated including fresh carpets, clean and smart, the en-suite bathroom had a modern and effective shower, beds were comfortable. Donna gave a great welcome and provided a first class full English breakfast earlier than usual as we had to make the Lundy Ferry, we were allowed to leave the car in their car park while we spent a few days on Lundy. When we realised how late our return would be we were able to book another nights stay at less than a days notice. This is a great to place if you are doing the Lundy trip as there is a bus stop only a few minutes walk away and leaving the car at Score valley as opposed to a public car park in town a bonus. Would highly recommend, its by far the best B&B we have stayed in for a long time.

I would recommend anyone wanting peace and tranquility to stay here. The hard work Donna and Paul have put in to make this place amazing is noticeable everywhere from the gardens to the rooms. The room we stayed in was spotlessly clean with such a comfortable bed it made getting up difficult. The breakfasts are superb and definitely set you up for the day. We can't wait to come back and enjoy this little bit of heaven in Devon again.

This is our 4th time here and we love it! We are a group of divers and are always met with a warm greeting and made to feel like family. Beautiful location, run by a friendly couple, amazing food and very accommodating! Would highly recommend!

This is a lovely house with very friendly and helpful hosts. It is totally quiet and set in a beautiful valley with ample parking. It is within walking distance of the town, but going to Ilfracombe by car for dinner is also easy, as parking is free after 6 pm. I recommend this house as a lovely alternative to staying in Ilfracombe itself, which is much busier.

Absolutely outstanding in every respect, located in a stunning valley well away from the road and any noise. Very comfortable well furnished guest rooms /bathrooms, lounge and breakfast room, all recently and tastefully refurbished to a high standard. Wonderful and plentiful breakfast and excellent hosts in Donna and Paul. I took a group of golfers so we had 5 rooms, everyone was really impressed, so much so two have already booked to return with their wives and another is thinking about it. Absolutely nothing to fault, very highly recommended. As the organiser, many thanks Donna and Paul for making us feel so welcome and looking after us so well.
