We stayed for one night as we travelled to our main holiday destination. The interior of the building and room is very inviting and comfortable. We were able to move the single mattress onto the floor, since otherwise the beds were very high for our 2-year-old. I'm thankful I was able to open the bathroom door from the outside since our toddler locked himself inside. The night stay was quiet with only a few door bangs, nothing we wouldn't expect from a hotel. Breakfast time there was a wide range of food. We were the only family there, mostly singles at breakfast so everyone could hear us talking to our toddler ”eat this”, ”sit down”, ”stop that”. Without us it was silent, no music which made us rather uncomfortable. All the staff were friendly and interacted kindly with our toddler. On a side note if you like pizza I recommend visiting Stable Hearth not far away. Food is great and they're super child friendly and even give your child a felt pizza to play with while you wait.

Came to Darlington to visit.friends. The staff we're fantastic upon arrival and during the stay. The room had a few issues which were reported to the staff and the hotel itself could do with a face-lift as a bannatyne hotel. Again I will stress the staff we're amazing.

Gone are the magnolia walls and tired furniture and the rooms are now spectacular. --- newly decorated and refurnished with modern furniture. A staircase leads up to the rooms( this has also been highly decorated and a beautiful thick grey carpet. Stayed in what's now called the ”Green”room. You can instantly tell that the landlord Chris and his wife Sue have worked really hard getting this room ready. It's spectacular. A plush green velvet bed with beautiful bedding very comfortable mattress. There's a large seating area complete with matching green velvet armchairs-- white coffee table that matches the 2 very large storage units to complete that area there's a beautiful fireplace. One the wall is a large smart tv with Netflix included -- free Wi-Fi available. Tea coffee facilities plus a Tassimo coffee machine. Hairdryer provided -- only problem I noticed was there was no mirror in bedroom area so you can see what you're doing when wanting to use hairdryer or put makeup on. Have mentioned this to Chris and he's going to rectify that issue. The bathroom area has also been gutted out -- it's now a beautiful spacious room--complete with electric shower which is very easy to use. Loads of fluffy towels and shower gel/ shampoo and conditioner all provided. Some of the rooms have yet to be completed,but they too are going to be the same high standard. Next time you fancy staying over in Darlington,call in and see Chris or Sue about one of their rooms --- you will not be disappointed -- very high standard and worth the money

Nachmittags Tee war erstaunlich, es kostete uns nur £18 für 2 Personen und das Personal, wo immer handgemacht, wenn Sie sie benötigen. Wir hatten eine 92 Jahre alte mit uns und sie kämpft, so wir fragten, ob sie die Treppen runter könnten sie es taten es war aus dieser Welt sicher wird es wieder tun.

Stayed here for one night recently while working in the area. Arrived into the car park to a group of loud drunk chavs out the back smoking and a neighboring house having a full on argument! Great start. The chav theme continued inside along with loud music, so loud I could hardly hear the girl checking me in who just gave me my key and said 'the rooms are that way'. The room itself was quite nice, some staining on the walls and the shower wasn't very powerful but it was passable. What really got me was the overly loud music and screaming coming from the bar, this was a Monday night and the music really didn't need to be so loud. I had an early start that day and an early start the following day so just wanted to relax. When the music finally went off at 11, the sound of a woman downstairs screaming like a banshee could still be heard at half 11. Needless to say I didn't get a great night's sleep! No one downstairs when I left so I just let myself out.

We were met with a massive smile as soon as we entered reception. The room managed to be comfortable and cozy whilst being huge. There are some problems with fixtures, like the windows being a bit knackered, but these were completely outweighed by the positives. The food was amazing and plentiful, we cant speak highly enough of staff. The spa was a great way to spend a few hours. We will be going back next time we are in the area.
