SpringHill Suites Huntington Beach Orange County

This hotel is nothing short of underwhelming. I will definitely state it is in a good location, within walkable distance to many shops and restaurants across the street, and an in n out right next door. The hotel grounds are modern and clean. However, the service is what differentiates this hotel from a higher class property. We had booked a room with two queen beds and received one with one queen bed and a pull out sofa. The reception hosts simply stated they had “overbooked” and had run out of queen bed rooms. They were unapologetic about it and even sounded annoyed at the fact I brought up the issue. I was traveling with my dad and brother and my brother had to take the pull out sofa which he said was a spring mattress, he was extremely uncomfortable. The room layout is also odd. The tv is in the middle of the room instead of In front of the bed so you’d have to turn your head in order to watch. And the bathroom is right in front of the bed. I was also cold on the first night and asked for extra pillows and blankets. The same reception host informed me that they had run out of pillows and would check if she even had extra blankets to give. I’m aware this isn’t a 5 star hotel, but at almost $200 a night it isn’t a motel 6 either for this type of treatment from the staff, mainly the overnight ones. The hotel itself felt brand new, as if it'd just been built. Will definitely be staying here again, next time I'm in the area.

This hotel had a lot of things other hotels don’t. It was very convenient. It had laundry, games, a terrace on the second floor, a lounge area with couches, a nice gym, a business center with a nice computer and printer, a good complementary breakfast, a convenience store in the lobby, Netflix on the TV’s, little bar nook areas with big screens… and I’m sure there’s other stuff I can’t remember. There was an In & Out right next door, and it was minutes from Main Street and the beach. The staff was super friendly and check in/out was easy. Awesome hotel.

This waa a great stay. Great location. Free parking. Free wi-fi. Excellent free breakfast. The room was midern, clean, and spacious. This was definitely one of the best hotels we have stayed at.

This is my favorite hotel! Everyone is super friendly. The breakfast is delicious and fresh. I can’t wait to go back!

Part of the reason I chose the hotel was to charge my Tesla. Of the four charging spots 3 were taken by non electric vehicles and were not charging. Even though there were parking passes on the dashboards of these cars indicating they were hotel patrons nothing was done to get the cars to be moved after I reported the issue to the front desk. Better signage, more action and follow through are appropriate.

We recently stayed at this location for a CA soccer tournament and had 3 teams staying with us. The hotel has a fantastic outdoor terrace space for kids to stretch their legs or families to gather.

Everything was good until my wife and I was awakened by housekeeping asking me to come to the door because they thought they smelled smoke coming from my room. I told them I do not smoke or ever have smoked. The person didn’t even apologize after speaking with me and confirming the truth. Very rude
