These two buildings were designated as nationally protected cultural heritage sites in 2001 and 2008, respectively. As a cultural themed boutique hotel, Wen Yu Hall showcases an exceptional collection of architecture, furnishings, calligraphy, paintings, and artifacts—all treasured possessions of its original owners. The collection features over a thousand pieces, primarily Ming-style furniture, literati calligraphy and paintings, exquisite artifacts, and historical documents related to the salt trade. Most items date back to the Ming, Qing, and Republic of China periods, with some pieces tracing far back as the Han Dynasty.
