Big4 Howard Springs Holiday Park

I’d like to give a five star review to the the team at Howard springs big4! I was stuck between a rock and hard place moving to Darwin and had no luck finding permanent residence. The team at big 4 understood and went above and beyond trying to accomodate me and help me out as much as possible. Their empathy towards me was second to none, the team are friendly and helpful giving me lots of great advice. Location wise it’s great, out of the city but close to any attractions and supermarkets needed. Thanks again to the team , will be staying again if in Darwin area!

The area is a camping like holiday experience. You can walk around, swim in the swimming pool or stay indoors. The two aircons keep the rooms cool. In the morning you can hear all the birds and relax outside. After a while it gets hot so the swimming pool is a refreshing and a fun place to go. The kids loved the water park. We did not experience noisy residents as the Big4 wasn’t in full capacity. I would go back if 2 things were resolved. The 2 issues were firstly the bad odour that we couldn’t stand from the moment we got in, we had to buy an air freshener and open the windows. The second issue was the cleanliness and lack of things in the kitchen. For example they could provide us with the a dish liquid, garbage bags or a clean kitchen sponge.

We stayed 15 days July/Aug 24 in our caravan using the ensuite sites, the sites are grassy just big enough for the van and annex, our car had to be parked sideways in front of the van. When the sites next door were vacant we put it there and made it work ok. The ensuite’s are ok but like most showers had trouble regulating the hot and cold, but it’s pretty warm here anyway so the cold was ok. We used the pool every day in the afternoons to coool down, it’s about 20 minutes into town but handy for other attractions on this side. Berry springs is about 30 minutes with the wildlife park next door, the stat of Kakadu is about 30 minutes, fogg dam is a good half day tour with the humpy doo hotel a good stop on the way back. We enjoyed our time here with the friendly and helpful staff. Maybe so money could be put back into filling in some of the driveway parts that have gone missing and update some of the aging facilities but pretty good overall

Lovely park although very small sites with not much space to park your car! Ablutions clean and 2 lovely pool areas! The reception staff are friendly and welcoming! They were very helpful as we needed to extend our stay because of car problems and ended up staying a week and really enjoyed our stay! Thank you Howard Springs caravan park 😊

WOULD not recommend Big 4 Howard Springs NT, very rude reception lady, this morning checking out, once more the boom gate stuffed up again , my wife was checking out, and mentioned to the VERY rude woman, who abruptly ignored her regarding the blasted inoperative boom gate, also cabin 39 had NO SMOKE ALARM, cabinet floors was disgusting, never been washed since the last Dry season, the sliding door between the bathroom & the main room fell off its track, I made mention to the reception staff, BUT it took 3 days to fix, ther is NO street lighting to or cabins, my sis in law fell over as there is numerous pot holes, luckily she was ok, it's Big 4 lack of duty off care water pressure is piss pure, I could piss harder, there is a firerisk as there's tones of Palm Fronds next to Cabin 33, Big 4 SUPPOSED TOBERATED 4 STARS, absolute joke, there should be arisk assessment carried out.

Great friendly (although could have been told bottled water was free when we arrived. Only found out second last day after our previously purchased bottles ran out.) Cabin clean Great location for what we needed. Bed comfortable, pillows ok Could do with a little frying pan in cupboard but otherwise enough ok
