I’ve stayed with this place before, and I had a bad time with it which was never remedied. Normally I wouldn’t be back, but location pretty much required I use them. On this trip, so far, things have gone much better. The property is somewhat off the beaten path, but not far from a major highway. It looks good, and the facilities, furniture and fixtures were in good condition. Everything in the room was working as designed, and the beds and towels adequate. The employees don’t have name tags on, but I do want to compliment the African-American lady working deep nights on July 03 and 04. She went well beyond the call of duty to correct incompetent guest problems, and very promptly. From the customer side of the desk she is an outstanding performer and I was more than grateful for the professional help. I could only suggest that the brand’s choice to use a black colored key card is not the best, as they are easier to misplace. The pricing was very appealing for a holiday weekend, but it’s obvious there were not a lot of guests checked in. The elevator farthest from the desk makes some unsettling noises that are not reassuring to the guest. They don’t serve free breakfast, but they do have a bar open in the evenings, even though they don’t have enough customers to operate it profitably. I write a lot of reviews, and pay attention to details. I don’t find much wrong with this place. It’s not young, but it’s been kept fresh and appearing to be new. And, the traffic patterns around it are certainly easier to maneuver than some other brands just across the freeway. There was a tiny spec of mold in the tub area, but nothing to get excited about. The overall facility was very clean, including the common areas and my sleeping room. I can’t say much about housekeeping as I specifically asked them to pass me by, but SOMEBODY is going the extra mile to keep the place looking good. However, the pictures you see on Trip advisor look nothing like what’s actually inside – they are way out of date. I can recommend them for what they are, although I just don’t like the brand for non-hospitality reasons. I certainly got what I paid for, and there’s no complaint with that. I’ll probably be back someday, which remains to be seen.

I had to grab this hotel after my initial hotel room was cancelled at a different location due to power outage from the after effects of hurricane Beryl. My stay was great but I have a very concerning issue with a ”deposit” fee I was charged that hasn't been returned to my bank account, and now Marriott is stating the transaction was never made even though I supplied documentation of the transaction from my bank. I have suspicion that the charge was only given to my type of people: African-Americans and that would be extremely disappointing to hear. The only response Marriott has given me is to dispute the charge. So I have to now go thru a lengthy dispute just to get $87.29 returned. Smh. I have also filed a discrimination complaint against this location and Marriott corporate. I will never stay at this location again and I am seriously considering cancelling my bonvoy membership because of this experience.

d by Marriot houston westchase  asa johnson You CAUTION! THEY RELEASED MY PREPAID ROOMS AND WE ARRIVED ON A RED EYE FLIGHT TO NO WHERE TO STAY WITH ALL SURROUNDING HOTELS FULLY BOOKED. These rooms were confirmed for weeks before. They never called or emailed until that they oversold. I literally called when I was in my rental letting them know I was on the way, and they told me sorry I will need to call another hotel because they over booked. Why they gave someone both if our double rooms, I don't know??? I explained that is unacceptable. Here are photos of the rooms they sent put us in due to their inconsideration. Nasty just nasty. Mold, Hair, dirty, ran down. They finally sent a cancellation email after we showed up for our reservation. Austin Gerdes the Assistant is the general manager that gave away our rooms and he wouldn't return any calls. I felt bad for the poor lady on duty trying to clean up his mess. She gave him my number over the phone but he never called. How inconsiderate. This is a business trip and they started it off as a nightmare. Horrible practice and damaging to Marriot's reputation.

Wirklich unglaublich!

Normally when I stay I have a nice experience and the staff is very friendly and the guy who checked me in was so nice. Caucasian younger guy with glasses. He could see I might have had an exhausting time before checking in and he was very sweet and gave me a bag of little goodies. It was a wow moment. However, the front desk agent Collin is the reason I will not be returning. I understand this isn’t a high end luxury hotel but I know for sure Marriott has standards and expectations for its employees. I called down to the front desk because something I had delivered was there. I asked if he could bring it up and mid question he says “let me stop you right there,” excuse me.. but then he says Im the only one up here so no I can’t bring it to you. There was no offer of an alternative just an incredibly rude no. But fine I used to work at the front desk at W hotel so I get it you have to man your station. But then i go down and not only is my bag on the farthest desk just sitting there but NO ONE is at the front desk! He knew I was coming down and he not only left it all the way 3 desks down u attended, didn’t take it to the back or anything, but he was not even at the desk. I waited a few minutes yelled hello, and eventually the sales coordinator lady comes out the back (meanwhile there is someone waiting to check in as well) and says can I help you. I asked who the gentleman (term used graciously) was that answered the phone she acted like she didn’t know so Collin might be a made up name (African American with braids and a beard) I asked where he was she said in the back…just wow. Then the next morning I check out with him. Rude, cold, unwelcoming, and the reason I won’t be coming back. Im given a budget every few months to stay wherever in that vicinity and i choose this place because it’s always been great. Not anymore.
