Crown & Punchbowl

Gorgeous pub restaurant with lovely rooms. Service was great. Good breakfast. Nice outside space, plenty of parking and very welcome air con in the room. Really good option for visiting cambridge, which is 20 minutes drive. We'd love to come back

We booked for dinner, whilst staying at this pub. The staff were friendly and helpful and the cocktails very nice. The mains though were average. My husband's risotto was fair and summery. My chicken supreme was pricey and although nice the chicken portions were small.

Stayed for 3 nights recently. The Hotel, service, food all excellent and staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms are lovely. The staff couldn't do enough for me. A special mention and thank you to Zoltan the Manager who kept the kitchen open a little longer one night, when my Husband had been driving for 5 hours to stay with me. I have booked a return stay already. Many Thanks again.

Excellent service! Plenty of gluten free options! Couldn’t tell the pudding was gluten free, had to ask to check, not used to having such beautiful food. Staff absolutely lovely and welcoming. Would definitely come again. They take pride in the work place and it shows.

We had booked for two nights, we ate out the first night as we went into Cambridge for a gig. Quite accommodating, the lady ordered us a taxi, as we had had a nightmare journey down and did not want to drive into Cambridge, just cutting it fine for the restaurant we had booked! I must admit I agree with other reviewers, we had Erasmus and it was very tired in places. The window sill and frame had peeling paint, the carpet was quite grubby in places and again the larger shower head did not work. So had not been fixed from when it was last reported. It had a light switch that did not control anything, so we had to get to the bedside light in the evenings! I really would not call any of this LUXURY!!! The food was quite nice the one evening we ate there, however, I ordered the veggie breakfast and I was presented with a meaty one! I got my veggie one eventually, however, whisked away again as there were no eggs on it! It was quite nice once I got it! When we were sat in the bar area, we overheard a member of staff asking which room another couple were in and she said to them "is it Erasmus" and they said yes!!! We called her over and told her we were in Erasmus, she said she would sort it out, however, I do think we have been charged for somethings on our bill that we did not have! All-in-all, I do not think we would consider staying here again if we were in the area for anything else. The staff do require a wee bit of finesse, training and the room needs work done on it to live up to it being classed as LUXURY or the description changed!

Our second stay in recent months, with the same excellent service and experience. Our room was immaculate, well equipped and comfortable, and we felt nothing was too much trouble. Food was good, and despite being very busy on a Friday night, we were well looked after.
