The Powderidge Ski lift is approximately 100 yards from this condo. The shuttle is only steps away and a short ride to the village, western territory, or Silvercreek. A private washer and dryer are located within the unit. There is a walking and bike trail that can be used to traverse the top of the entire mountain. Winter fun on the slopes will excite you with Snowshoe boasting over 13 feet of natural snowfall on average per year. Summer thrills in the bike park will let you see a whole other side of Snowshoe The lake will keep you cool and occupied with a water obstacle course, SUP, and kayaking. Enjoy a nice round of golf at Raven Golf Club tucked at the base of the western side of the mountain. Summit Condos #106A - New Day DawnsNew Day Dawns condo is conveniently located across the street from Snowshoe Village with easy access to the central ski area including the Skidder Ski School area. (Here is a Google exact location marker ... https://goo.gl/maps/WDZBgrqu232q3Uhp6 ) A FREE shuttle picks up just outside the condo adjacent to the parking area for Summit. You will be given two parking passes for your vehicles. (There is an overflow parking lot not far away for an extra vehicle.) New Day Dawns is located on the first floor which is one flight of stairs down from the parking area (or a short walk to the side where there are two steps). The unit is NOT “handicap accessible” but could be negotiated by some with physical limitations.Upon entering, a “lock-out” area is available for ski gear and clothing after your day skiing or boarding. A second door opens into the hallway where you will find 3 bedrooms (1-Q, 1-F/D, & 2-Twins) and 2 full baths for your stay. Fresh quality linens adorn the beds (duvet system) and a healthy selection of pillows of varying firmness are provided. This condo accommodates up to 8 people (if you wish to add up to 2 more, this must be approved by the owner). Bathrooms have linens and basic supplies though you should bring your favorite soaps and shampoos. In the hallway, a washer/dryer is available for your use (please bring your own detergent and dryer sheets). Extra linens and pillows are also located on the linen shelves next to the W/D..The living room is spacious with a comfortable couch that expands into a queen-sized bed for an additional guest. An inflatable queen-sized mattress is also available. Rounding out the room is a leather double recliner couch, coffee table, and side tables. A beautiful and functional gas fireplace is there for your use to provide just the right temperature for your group chats or while you watch movies or cable TV on the flat-screen TV. Wifi and cable are provided.The dining room is small and seats 6 comfortably, but there is also seating for three at the kitchen bar. A pantry is provided in this area to store items for your meals. The Kitchen is galley-style with all amenities: coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, stovetop/oven, mixer, blender, a smaller slow-cooker, and a few more items to make those hearty and yummy meals. Basic spices are provided and you are welcome to leave behind any non-perishable cooking supplies as a gift for future guests. Basic kitchen-related items are provided (dish & dishwasher detergent, garbage bags, coffee filters, etc.) There are plenty of pots, pans, and utensils to make things easy for you. I would suggest bringing your own omelet pan or other “necessary” cookware as nothing is like what you love using at home ;) … but I try to provide quality items as backups. A landline phone is also made available as mobile service is negligible on Snowshoe Mountain.One of the best parts of Snowshoe’s Summit Condos, besides being conveniently located to the Village, is the amazing western views! A deck is just outside the Living Room through a large glass door that reveals the setting sun, dropping over the western mountains and dark green conifers adorning the valley below (the last few photos were shot from the deck). Four deck chairs and table are available (along with using the dining room chairs) to gather together for drinks on the deck. PLEASE NOTE: the hot tub, pools, and sauna are communal and are located in the Village at Split Rock Pools and Sauna and there is a $16.20 fee, per person. The door is an electronic code door lock that will be pre-set for your visit, using the last 4 digits of the VRBO guest's phone number on file. COVID Concerns: be sure to check with the mountain about restrictions and cancelations. Refunds (or a reduced rate) will be made available should operations of the mountain be officially stopped. The unit is one of the Summit original style units with lots of wood and nostalgia … it is not like the modern home-style units offered elsewhere (see photos). This 2 bedroom Allegheny Springs Penthouse unit at Snowshoe may have the most Spectacular views of any place on the mountain. Allegheny Springs is the premiere location at Snowshoe and includes access to heated private pool and hot tub. There is a 24-hr concierge at the front desk to make check in and luggage easy. This penthouse unit is one of a kind and is located on the slope side of the building with high ceilings, larger square footage (than other 2 bedroom Allegheny units), and has some of the most breathtaking views on the mountain. Each Bedroom contains two queen beds and an attached en suite bathroom. There is a queen sleeper sofa in the living room as well. In total there are 5 Queen beds in the unit. There is a full kitchen with cookware, plates and utensils provided. A Keurig Duo coffee maker allows you to brew a single cup or your own ground coffee in a pot. The unit comes with two ski lockers (you can also store your mountain bikes in the locker room) and the slopes are immediately adjacent to the building. Go for a few runs, pop your skis in the convenient ski locker, relax in the hot tub or heated pool and then hit the slopes again. Allegheny Springs is the only building on the mountain with a private heated pool exclusively reserved for Allegheny guests.Snowshoe is also a certified IMBA ride center, with one of the largest trail systems in the East and host to the GNCC off-road racing series & Mercedes-Benz UCI World Cup. Mountain Lodge is a Ski In/Ski Out complex located just steps from the slopes and Snowshoe Village. Parking is free and easy for our guests with a private parking lot which is staffed and secured. Walk out of the building and you are right at the top of the high-speed Ballhooter Lift – you can’t find a more convenient place to stay for easy slope access! If you have kids the indoor play area is right outside of the door. The main lobby includes The Mountain Grind (open 5 days a week (closed Tues/Wed.), 8-11 am (hoping to extend hours with good traffic)- includes quality coffee, hot chocolate, juices, hot breakfast sandwiches, and baked goods. The fireplace atrium in the central part of the complex is a relaxing place to get together with friends after a busy day on the mountain. Other atrium areas of the complex have a video arcade, exercise equipment, a movie night area, and a kid’s play structure. There are also vending machines (with credit card readers) throughout including 4 Coca-Cola machines, 2 Pepsi machines, and 2 snack machines. The lower level of the complex houses The Basin (located in the old Comedy Cellar) that offers quick and easy lunch options, Al Dente Ristorante (opening shortly before Christmas) that offers Italian favorites for dinner, Snowshoe's Pre-Ski Program, and conference facilities (seasonally open). Unlike most other buildings at Snowshoe, Mountain Lodge has an outstanding on-site staff, maintenance, and housekeeping staff that can fix most problems fast and with minimal interference with your vacation.Just across the parking lot is the Split Rocks Pool complex with an indoor/outdoor pool, hot tubs, and saunas that are open in ski and summer seasons (fee charged). Wildcat Provisions, the main mountain top market is just across the street so you can pick up any last-minute food, beverages, or other supplies you need. Leave your car keys in the condo as you are so close to the village Starbucks, restaurants, and entertainment that you can walk to most places in less than 5 minutes. You can also get to Silver Creek and other areas of the resort by taking the free and convenient shuttle. The shuttle stops right at the main lobby door for pickup. Mountain Lodge 174 is a one-bedroom mountain view unit, located on the main floor. Come right in the building from the parking lot and the condo is right around the corner. No stairs or elevators needed. The condo has a gorgeous views of Shavers Lake and the Mountain Lodge Lawn. The Mountain Lodge Lawn is a viewing area for the new teaching terrain for the Snowshoe's Pre-Ski program. Our condo is east facing; therefore, guest are able to see their children from our unit if they are participating in the pre-ski program. The kitchen has everything you need to dine in - silverware, pots and pans, cooking utensils, dishes, range, microwave, full-sized refrigerator with pull out freezer with ice maker, toaster, coffee maker, and more. The living room has a sleeper sofa and recliner with a wall mounted tv and mountain views. A portable A/C unit is available in the summer. The bedroom has a comfortable queen-sized bed with quality bedding and wall mounted tv. The full bathroom has a tub/shower combo and vanity. Official check-in time is 5:00 PM and check-out time is 11:00 AM - these times are set and managed by the on-site building management.
