The Townhouse itself rests in a peaceful neighborhood that like all of Harpers Ferry is diametrical with some houses modern and pristine (like ours) and some old and weathered. Washington Street has all the great restaurants, bars and occasional live music at the Anvil and the Barn, all within a quarter mile of the Townhouse. New: walk to the Wine Bar at the General Store on Washington St. with Weekend wine tastings of mostly international wines, also wine for sale. This guy is very knowledgeable about his wines. Walk over the hill behind the neighborhood to find the Potomac at the bottom. Tons of hiking trails just outside the front door to Bolivar Heights, or slightly longer hike to more famous hiking trails like the AT, Loudon Lookout Heights or Maryland Heights.
