90 km north of Rovaniemi. Lake Unarinjärvi 20 m (length 20 km, breadth 5 km), shallow water, firm sandy bottom and pier. Villa Unari is a cozy and well-equipped 85 m² woody cabin built in 1992 and renovated in 2016. It's located by the beautiful lake Unarijärvi near the mouth of the river Meltausjoki. On the ground floor, living room/kitchen with fireplace, bedroom with 2 beds, bedroom with a double bed, washroom, toilet, glassed-in porch, open veranda. On the loft 4 beds and living area. Lake Unarinjärvi is a clean, large and fish-rich lake (perch, pike, whitefish, pikeperch and vendace). River Meltausjoki and its rapids offer nice challenges for fishermen trying to catch graylings. Boat, outboard motor and fishing gear can be rented from the owner. Private sand beach offers a comfortable space for hobbies, camping and beach life. In winter, there is a cross-country ski trail maintained by the village association. There are also several routes for snowmobiles in the area. Nature, forests and hills offers a great opportunity for outdoor activities and hiking all year round. The owners live across the field and there is also a charter restaurant Leiskun Pirtti there.
