Land's End Resort ★★★

"The view from my room faces the ocean but the location at the end of Homer Spit isn’t exactly the best place to be because it takes 15mins walk to get to the centre where eateries, shops and ferries are located especially if you’re like me having to carry camera equipment. Taxi services tend to be slow at peak hours. Housekeeping is not efficient and needs to be reminded despite hanging the card out. Cups are not washed and bed is not made unless the card in the room(no card was placed in my room)is completed which was the excuse they gave. This happened for 5x out of my 9 nights where the other 4, I opted for no disturbance . Breakfast is buffet style but limited selection. My stay was over 9 nights. I have to return for another 3 nights on organised tour group. I informed receptionist upon checkout to put me in the same room. The answer is NO. The level of service at front desk and housekeeping needs improvement except for a special lady, Lena who is exceptionally friendly and helpful. All in all, there is no value for money."

"We rented the small SPRUCE cabin for a weekend anniversary trip for 2. It was great! Reservations, directions, and instructions were easy. The cabin was so well made. It is a small A-frame, perfect for 2. You will need to be strong and flexible enough to climb up the ladder to the bed up in the loft, but it was not a problem for us. The location was great-beautiful view. Our cabin had a private hot tub on the deck with great views of the bay and mountains. Jen was a joy to deal with and the whole thing could not have been better. We will be back again at the end of summer/fall. Would highly recommend."

"Es war unser Wochenende-Getag, und es war überhaupt nicht enttäuscht. Der Ort war leicht zu finden. Die Besitzer lieferten nicht nur alles, was wir brauchen, d. h. Anweisungen, sauber, warm und gemütlich Zimmer, aber die Ansichten waren absolut spektakulär!!! Wir sahen Grün, Eagle, Siegel und Wasserrandräder direkt außerhalb des Fensters!!! Das Wetter war auch unser Freund. Wir sahen den vollen Erntemon, Aurora Borealis, Himmel voller Sterne, und sogar Atlas Komet. Das könnte nie besser sein! Die Besitzer haben immer unsere Fragen innerhalb von Minuten beantwortet, aber uns nicht anders gestört. Ich liebe alles über diesen Ort und ich empfehle Ihnen, es zu besuchen. Wir werden sicherlich wieder da sein. Easy 5 stars!!!!"

"Staff were very friendly and available to greet us when we arrived and throughout the 3 night stay. Very helpful in setting up activities (highly recommend Beluga Air for a flightseeing trip!) The Lux suite had plenty of room, a great jetted tub and large shower, was beautifully laid out and had nice amenities (plates and bowls, silverware, nice cups and wine glasses, microwave, mini-fridge, etc.) The giant king bed was fully adjustable and very comfortable with really nice sheets. Spa is right outside the sliding door but curtains provide plenty of privacy and nice view of the bay when you want. All in all, a great experience for our 25th anniversary and would highly recommend to others!"

"Die Aussicht vom Meeresfront-Schlafhaus war atemberaubend. Ein Deck mit herrlicher Panoramaaussicht auf die Berge und Homer Spit. Die Lage war perfekt direkt unten von Homer Spit und zu wunderschönen lokalen Restaurants. Die Atmosphäre war so willkommen und machte Sie zu Hause fühlen."

"Low score due to lack of transparency. Nice place, but it's essentially at an airport for sea planes, A charter air service operates about 150 feet from the cabin! We knew we were in trouble when we walked in and there were ear plugs on the kitchen island (seriously!) Very early every morning the planes start departing. They woke us up from a sound sleep because they're so close that it sound like they're flying right through the cabin. Had this been disclosed, we would have never stayed there. There are also some very high windows without shades, so the cabin gets very bright, very early."
