The Bickford Arms

Visited for first time with a.party of six, We received a friendly welcome and attentive service throughout our meal which was excellent. We had 3 scampi, 2 hunter’s chicken and one gammon mains with various delicious deserts & coffees. I would recommend this restaurant over the food quality and the warm atmosphere.

Popped in today on the way home from a day out the staff was so lovely helped us with everything nothing was too much for them very polite and the food was amazing we have already booked to go back and a bonus it’s only 20 mins from home and worth the travel to get there for good food and atmosphere made to feel very welcome thank you Bonus was the animals we got to see aswell my boys loved it

Popped into this wonderful establishment a few days ago whilst staying at a country cottage near Bradford manor.very friendly attentive staff. The food was amazing having eaten twice here. Chicken in a basket and a really juicy well cooked burger.fluffy thick cut chips fried to perfection. A warm welcome from all the staff made our party very comfortable. Would recommend this hotel everyone if visiting the area.

Came down for a carvery at 12:30, staff were very helpful and polite. Few things that we feel could be improved is the service of the carvery, we feel it could be done with more fluidity and be ready for when the pub opens. Outside searing area needs a bit of attention but all in all it was a good experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our six night stay, the staff are friendly, polite and efficient, nothing was too much trouble for them. We found the atmosphere was friendly and relaxing, local people also dined at the Hotel and dogs are welcome too. There is a good choice of evening meals and homemade deserts, also a Sunday Carvery and sometimes roast dinners on Sunday evening which we chose to have and were very pleased with our choice. The owners were present throughout our stay and were most welcoming and friendly. The meals were brilliant, we chose to eat in at the Hotel each evening as we enjoyed our meals so much. We were shown to our room by a member of staff when we arrived. The room was nicely decorated, bright, clean, had everything that we needed for our stay, the ensuite shower room was good and was fully tiled, there we extra shower gel, shampoo and conditioner if we required. There was also facility to make hot drinks including hot chocolate. Breakfast was excellent and was cooked just how we liked it, we could help ourselves to cereals, fruit juice, fruit, toast and hot drinks. We felt relaxed and at home during our stay and would definitely stay there again.

Top notch Sunday carvery at the Bickford Arms everything just right. First time I have eaten there and it won’t be the last! best to book it’s quite busy. I just rocked up at 12.30 and they managed to find me a seat, next time I will ring up first. Sat out in the garden and if it was not for the blonde woman boasting at the top of her voice I would have stayed longer. But still give it 9 out of 10.
