Neptune Oceanfront Rentals

I will reiterate what all of the other customers have said. DO NOT STAY HERE. I am usually very careful about where I book, but I was sloppy this time because I was tired and desperate. The entire Hollywood Beach area is rundown. It might have had its "Hey Day" back in the 50s-60s, but not now. I think most of these old hotels have been turned into apartments and most of the people I saw walking around were in their late 60s-80s. The people who own/run the hotel are deceitful and it doesn't cause them a moments hesitation to take advantage of every customer that walks through the door. I even asked the man at the front desk if it made him feel bad to treat people this way. He said, "You signed the contract, Ma'am. It was all in there if you would have read it". The contract said extra fees and tax, not more than doubling the price of the original room. Extra "Fees" equaled another $79.97 a night. Twice the room cost. $50 each night for a cleaning fee and $29.97 a night to park on their OWN PROPERTY!! They even have a "Fee" for using a towel.?? Don't stay here folks. Sleep in your cars in the Walmart parking lot. This place is a complete joke. It's not worth it. They have a sign in the hotel check in that says if you give them a 5 star rating you can have your choice of a free gift. These gifts include a pair of plastic flip flop earrings, "a beer," a plastic dry bag for your phone ($1 from Dollar Tree) a free towel usage, should I continue? And remember, it's only one of these things and people are still dumb enough to do it!! I feel so bad for the guy from Australia. They really reamed him for an extra $1000+ because he was staying for 10 nights. I bet he thinks all Americans are awful like this. Nope, just the ones at Hollywood Beach Hotels (Owners of the Neptune Hotel). Folks, stay away from here!!!

Bad customer service, all kinds of hidden fees, booked thru a third party site; 3 nights for around 350. While I was checking in I was charged an additional 230 for fees and parking, plus an extra 100 security deposit. I asked for a minute to check my email the women who was checking me in just walked away from me and left me standing at the counter for 20 minutes. Neptune is part of a group of hotels “ Hollywood Beach Hotels” that are spread over a few blocks and there is a very limited amount of parking, you may only be able to find a space at another one of their hotels. The rooms are old, very old and it shows. The bathroom was tiny and it looked like there was mold on the ceiling that had been painted over. One of the light fixtures hanging from the ceiling had a beer can tab as the pull switch, another was having by the wires and about to fall. The hotel’s location is great but I don’t think it’s worth staying here at any price.

Horrible in every sense, small rooms, small parking spaces, bait and switch rooms. Should be ashamed. Won't ever come back to Hollywood, fl as they own many hotels. Bye bye..never ever stay here. The new management doesn't know what they are doing and rooms are dirty.

They charge me the mandatory fee...55 uss....this is not in the post. fraud. Ellos me cobraron 55 dolares de limpieza por dia!!!! y no estaba en el posteo del precio de la habitacion como hacen todos los hotles, te cobran por parking por las toallas si las usas para ir a la playa, nada de eso esta en el precio del posteo. no vallas porque van a terminar pagando 150 uss un hotel de 2 estrellas.

We love it here, it is a yearly trip. The rooms are all getting updated. The patio was right outside our room. The staff are hard working people and try to please. Check in can be a little frustrating but you just have to have patience as the office is a check in for many different places Maria rocks

Love! Love!! Love this place!! EVERYONE here is incredible and takes great care of their guests ! The location was great, the room (Apartment) was clean. The ladies that answer the main number are helpful. The parking was $10 a day to park in the streets. The wifi was good, the apartment was well equipped for a family full kitchen steps from the beach.

I stayed in RM 2413 1/31-2/2 and loved it! The room was beautiful and everything was brand new! The room had all amenities listed and U could see the ocean from the window! The front desk staff, Maria, Anyi, Tyler, Wilson, Adlin, and Kirwin always provide exception guest service during each of my stays! The Neptune is AMAZING! Will stay here time and time again! I highly recommend you try this location. The beach and Broadwalk 50 feet from my front door, free Wifi, free breakfast! Love it!

This motel is part of HBH (Hollywood Beach Hotels chain). This property, like the rest of the other motels run by this same company, is extremely rundown and in desperate need of maintenance and a substantial update. It's dirty, neglected, old and overall unpleasant. To the extent that I almost left halfway through my stay. Upon arrival, the electronic door lock broke and it took over an hour to get into the room. They had to get one of the ladies from the front desk to go through a window and unlock the door to the change the lock. The front door itself looked like a door from a mechanic shop. The living room TV did not work. To remove and replace it, they had to drill holes on the wall, and they left all the dust and residue on the floor. Bathtub was dirty and it smelled like sewer. Kitchen cabinets had extensive water damage and stove did not work. The only reason I stayed is because my kids, who are 7 and 8, were having a blast at the beach. We spent most of our time outside of the room. If cleanliness, maintenance and comfort are important to you, DO NOT book at this place or any other HBH property.

Arrived to a run down property. Nothing like the pictures. We ordered a suite and got a tiny room with 2 beds and a dresser. Dirty bathroom. The ocean view was a joke! Small dirty window that you had to sit on the bed in order to see out. No chairs. No balcony. The housekeeper threw the sheets and towels off the second floor to the lawn below. They charged $159 for amenities which was a very small pool and a continental?? Breakfast. Room smelled musty. They charge $20 a day for a lawn chair and beach towel. We complained and the moved us to another building. Not much better no ocean view but same price. We got another hotel in Ft. Lauderdale. They won’t refund $$.
