Vi, familj fyra vuxna, bodde fyra nätter. Åt frukost, lunch och middag på hotellet och är positivt överraskade av allt med hotellet. Vi brukar bo på 4-5 stjärniga hotell men Azul med 3 stjärnor är lika bra. Supertrevlig och hjälpsam personal, från ankomst till avresa. Betr maten så är förätterna stora, räcker med en rätt, antingen förrätt el varmrätt, blir för mycket med två. Priserna på mat o dryck är detsamma el lägre på hotellet än i stan. Guacamole med nachos kostar 145 mex dollar.
Taxi till stan kostar 150 mexikanska dollar (ca 75kr) oavsett storlek på bil.
Vi bodde hellre en bit från stan än i stan och tog taxi.

Mycket trevligt hotell. Fin strand med sköna solstolar. Trevlig personal och god mat på stranden. Lite lugnare ställe än de som ligger närmare "staden". Gångavstånd in till "staden". Fixar utflykter om man vill. Bra städning och kvalitet på rummet.

This would have had a different review but the road conditions were terrible! This is no fault of the hotel due to lack of drainage in the roads. Water is not as pretty in front of hotel

The staff at La Puerta Azul was incredibly helpful and nice. The rooms are super clean and spacious and you have access to the beach and a restaurant at the beach.
The hotel is pretty far to downtown so if you want to go out to dine and walk around town it is quite far. Taxis charge $200 pesos each way so not cheap at all. The roads were flooded from a light rain a few days before we arrived so walking to and from the hotel through the streets was not an option.

I normally don’t leave a description of my stays but…. The hotel is good valie for the money. In detail:
Location:
If you want peaceful beaches and your plan is to disconnect (which was my goal) the hotel location is perfect!
Rooms:
The room is very clean, nice and confortable, beds are a little too hard (and i like a hard bed) could use a topper or something.
Beach area:
Is perfect to relax, but the sun beds REALLY NEED a cushion
Pool:
Dont look inviting at all! And you can’t lay there as there is no sun beds
Food:
Great breakfast
Food was good
Staff:
It seems like they are trained to say NO.
Definitely not friendly AT ALL with solo travelers
Not helpful
Makes you feel completely unwanted
Not the right people to work at hospitality specially the front desk staff
Extras:
Breakfast opens at 8:00am so it would be great if rooms had coffee machines or coffee available a bit earlier

We loved our stay and would definitely return. Everyone was so nice! The obly downfall are the very aggressive mosquitoes. Even with repellent, they are still able to bite which made our stay a little itchy. I would recommend wearing long sleeves and pants at night to help with the mosquito situation.
