Ukuthula Bush Lodge

We arrived after an 5 hours drive from Johannesburg and stayed for 4 nights at the lodge. We visited twice the Kruger park which I can highly recommend to do as early as possible especially during summer time in Africa. And we had a private game drive close to the lodge. Both ca be organised at the lodge or you choose someone else and they pick you up. To the Kruger park it’s a 45-60 min ride per car. The lodge itself is great! The room was superb and big with all amenities you need and the provide always free bottle of drinking water. Breakfast and dinner was also good and I would recommend the dinner there. Fabian and his stuff are great and always helpful. We had a nice stay there and I would absolutely recommend it in case you are in this area or like to spend a night or more close to the Kruger park. Not to forget; the lodge is an private resort/ compound and therefor super safe. You will find other shops or restaurants outside at the main road.

Me and my Fiancee stayed for 3 nights and basically all we could wish for was to stay for much longer. Everything was just perfect! The host Fabian welcomed us at the lodge and made us feel at home straight away. The service was fantastic, the staff were all friendly and the food was first class! Fabian also arranged us both a sunrise and sunset safari which was breathtaking. It was all a dream that came true for us.

We stayed at Ukuthula Lodge for three nights and had a fantastic time. The team at the lodge were very friendly and kind, and Fabian went above and beyond to accommodate any requests we had, even on short notice. Their breakfast options like Eggs Benedict were a great surprise in such a location, and everything was cleaned to a very high standard. The dinners were a bit repetitive so if you are a foodie it might help to rent a car to access some other spots as you can't walk through the bush late at night!

Ukuthula bush lodge was the best lodge we have ever stayed in with my wife and two daughters 6yr old and a 12yr old. Fabian and the staff were so kind,friendly and helpful.We enjoyed everything from the food,the comfortable beds,the outdoor shower and the pool. We definitely recommend this place for anyone who would like to experience the tranquility in the bush.
