The Bay Apartments are a good value but simple place to stay in Hobart. We stayed here for 1 night this week, in a 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment was clean but small. It had an overpowering smell of cleaning products when we arrived but this dispersed during our stay. The bathroom is a traditional shower-over-bath, and there is a small living area and flat screen TV. There is a small cooktop and sink, and a bar fridge. The apartments are a short walk to a large range of restaurants, a Woolworths and a Cole. There is also a pub (almost) next door. It is a short drive to Hobart CBD and there are public buses out the front. We were apprehensive at first as it was quite noisy (noise from other guests and from the road), but this didn’t affect our sleep quality. There is parking outside the unit and one reverse cycle aircon unit in the living area. Don’t expect a fancy property- this is a basic but well presented unit at an affordable price point, not a $300/nt property. If you set your expectations correctly this is a very good property. The stairways to the upstairs appartments are very narrow and it is difficult to carry large cases up and down. I’d stay here again if looking for a basic stay in Hobart, but probably not for multiple nights.

I am very disappointed as I thought I booked a room in Wrest Point but instead it was in adjacent property called Motor Inn. I felt that I have been cheated as the picture in the booking details showed me Wrest point Towel and not Motor Inn. I thought the room was called Motor Inn as I have not been there to know the existence of Motor Inn. When I queried about it, they said it was the agent's (trip.com) fault . To move to the main tower will cost me an extra of $80. I felt I have been conned and they should have placed the Motor Inn building photo instead of the tower of Wrest Point in their website for booking. (It is deceptive marketing - show you a ferrari for sale and got a lemon after you have paid for it) Motor Inn is an old building and does not have lifts to the room we were allocated and being retirees , we have to carry our bags up to 2 flights of stairs. On top of that, the room walls were not sound proof and you can hear every customer slamming their doors and flushing their toilets. I thought we have booked the room with the sea view instead there were only bushes as a window view. It was so embarrassing when I thought I could request for a room on a higher floor in wrest tower for good views but instead shown out of the door to an old adjacent building call Motor Inn. In all its websites and advertising, there is not 1 photo to show Motor Inn as Wrest Point . It has always being the tower used to promote the sale of their rooms. The Bistro food is poor quality and costly. We order from the caviary and the food came out to be cold and dry. We wanted to try the other 2 restaurants Kwan Ho and the one on the 17 th floor in the main tower but were told they were close. I thought being a top notch hotel, their restaurant will be open 7 days instead they are closed 2 days.( sun and mon). - the days we were there sat,sun,mon) They have a fantastic location but sad to say they don't have the marks of a 5 star hotel. Die Hotelzimmer sind kürzlich renoviert und sind sauber, frisch und funktionell. Die Betten sind unglaublich komfortabel. Trotz ihrer Lage über einer Bar gibt es keinen Lärm. Das Personal ist unglaublich zu Hause, eine besondere Erwähnung für Andrew und Peter, um sicherzustellen, dass wir in jeder Hinsicht zu Hause waren, ihre Dienste allein mir genügen, um diese Einrichtung an jede Besucherpartei empfehlen zu lassen. Das Hotel ist gut bezahlt und überschreitet alle vernünftigen Erwartungen. Wir werden zurückkommen. Danke.

Very happy with our stay -2 nights. We were in the wing furthest away & as I'm allergy- prone had rung ahead to ask if cleaners could go easy on the heavy bleaches/fragrances: which they did! About a 20 min taxi ride from airport ($38) Comfortable beds, hot shower, spacious quiet room. Ate 2 nice evening meals at the club onsite. You can get a bus into town on main road nearby, read timetable carefully though. The only 2 negatives were you could the adjoining room's water pipes every time they used them - very noisy, and there's no microwave.

Das Hotel liegt eine kleine Straße vom Stadtzentrum entfernt. Der nächste Supermarkt ist 8 Autominuten entfernt. Das Hotel ist sehr schön, aber die Klimaanlage ist altmodisch. Während des gesamten Prozesses taucht niemand auf. Der Ordner, der Ihren Namen sieht, freut sich sehr. Der Ort, an dem das Frühstück verwendet wird, ist Selbstbedienung. Jeder Tisch trägt den Namen des Zimmers und der Name des Zimmers ist nach dem Besitzer des vorherigen Hotels benannt.

Dieses Budget-Motel in einem alten Gebäude bietet kleine, günstige Zimmer in der Nähe von der Stadt und Salamanca sowie zwei große Supermärkte und verschiedene Speisen direkt entlang der Sandy Bay Road. Positives: Gute Qualitätsstuhl, Dusche, viele zusätzliche Ketten, TV, komfortable Betten, ruhige Zimmer und einige Parkplätze, Diese ist klar angekündigt. Zentrale Lage südlich der Stadt. Person auf der Rezeption wollte sich freuen, aber konnte nicht positiv auf unsere Forderung nach einer Lichtblase zu ersetzen. Plug in Heizung war am meisten willkommen. Nicht so gut: Das Teppich auf den Treppen ist gebraucht und gebohrt (eine Sicherheitsgefahr). Unser Zimmer sah aus, als ob die Wartung eine geringe Priorität - fehlende Lichtblasen, fehlende Fliesen in der Dusche, so dass Wasser über den Boden fließen kann. Hier ist ein guter Aufenthaltsort, wenn Sie den Raum für kurze Zeit zu nutzen beabsichtigen.

Ich blieb hier eine Nacht, als ich von Montacute gehört hatte, und so wollte ich es heraussehen. Es ist ein schönes Gebäude in einer ruhigen Lage. Es ist ein Backpacker für ein älteres Kundensatz oder für Leute, die bereit sind, ein wenig extra als ein YHA zu zahlen. Eine Hostel-Umgebung mit gemeinsamen Küche und Badezimmer. Ich habe für mich ein Zwilling bezahlt - $110 für die Nacht. Mein jüngerer Selbst hätte es ohne Zweifel geliebt, aber mein älterer Selbst war ein wenig müde von meinem Tag und so war der laute chat in den Korridoren spät bis zum Abend ein wenig müde. Earplugs half und trotzdem nach 12am Dingen abgewickelt und ich konnte gesund schlafen in meinem komfortablen Bett. Sehr nahe zu schönen Kaffeegeschäften snd Salamanca.

Große 2 Schlafzimmereinheit, die wir als Basis für 5 Nächte, um die untere Hälfte von Tassie zu erkunden. Wohnbereich ist nicht riesig und die Küche ist klein, aber es ist alles sehr funktional und funktioniert gut. Die Zimmer und Badezimmer sind mit komfortablen Betten und Badezimmern im oberen Stockwerk großartig - fantastische Dusche. Waschmaschine sind gut mit 5 Waschmaschinen und Trocknern, und Sie können auch jederzeit zusätzliche Kaffee, Zucker, Handtücher hier. Nicht den Pool, aber es sieht toll aus. Parkplatz ist einfach mit Parks direkt außerhalb Ihrer Einheitstür. Insgesamt, toller Ort zu bleiben, aber ziemlich Hilly, wenn Sie in die Stadt gehen wollen.

Ich blieb hier kurz (Plumbing Problem zu Hause) so kann ich nicht zu Schlafqualität kommentieren. Ich hatte Zimmer 23, das klein war (es wurde als klein angekündigt) und hatte ein Doppelbett. Bettwäsche war sauber und schien gut zu sein. Die Handtücher auf dem Bett waren in einer seltsamsten Weise gefolgt, und sie scheinen abzuwischt und gebrochen zu sein, aber sie waren eigentlich so aussehen (wie mir ein Meeresbewohner erinnert.) Das Zimmer war sauber, wie das Bad war, Mit Ausnahme des ganzen Bodens der Dusche Bay, die eine gelbe/tanfarbe war. Vielleicht war es sauber, aber wenn es war, dann war es offensichtlich verfärbt und braucht wirklich Ersatz. Es war extrem absetzend. Die Wände sind dünn und ich habe die Person im nächsten Zimmer duschen hören. Der Mann an der Rezeption war ziemlich dunkel. Ich musste nicht die Nacht bleiben, da mein Wasserproblem korrigiert wurde, so ging ich nach Hause. Guter Wert, aber ich würde nicht wieder hier bleiben. Das Zimmer schmeckt von Zigarettenrauch, obwohl das Eigentum nicht rauchen.

Had a recent stay for 3 nights and found it really enjoyable. After a little confusion with parking the car due to street it is located on being a bus thoroughfare, valet parking was prompt and we found we didn't need to get car out again. Great location in the centre of town and easy walking to everything Hobart has to offer. Rooms were very clean, although a little small, bathroom was a generous size although water did flood floor when showering. Did have to order another pillow as ones in room were rock hard. Breakfast was very yummy and buffet option that was offered had more than enough to satisfy. Gym was small with just enough equipment to do a workout. The Chocolate Hour was a bit of a letdown, not what we expected, but still another point of difference. All in all, a really nice stay and we'll certainly wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
