Black Hills Luxury Suites

This place was dirty, worn out, with ancient appliances. Everything was stained. There were dead bugs in all the windowsills. The few pans were chipped and rusty, there were no knives, and the few utensils were unwashed. The floor was disgusting. The pictures are misleading. Oh, and you have to check in at the Best Western next door. There is no one on site and they dont answer the phone. Trip.com was excellent at resolving rhe issue and refunded our money right away. Kudos to the Hill City Best Western staff. They were able to get us in a kitchenette room and even returned an item we left in the icky apartment.

I did not stay here as it was an unkept transient rental property. I am supposed to be getting a refund and will be pursuing this in the coming days. Nothing about this property is how it was portrayed!

Nice 2 bedroom suite which worked great for our group. The breakfast was standard but helped fuel us up each morning. Outdoor pool was never open but they had an indoor pool and hot tub. The hot tub was nice for us one of the days. This is connected to the Best Western so you have access to all of their amenities.

We loved our suite at the back of the property — clean, spacious, quiet. It was a bit of a walk around the back of the pool area and across the parking lot to get to reception (breakfast area, get more towels, etc). There is an indoor and outdoor pool but the outdoor one was closed a few days because of rain or risk of lightning. Indoor pool is nice but some families there ruined it for others by all jumping in to make the biggest splash (men and boys). Pool towers are very thin and small. We had a kitchen so prepared a lot of our own food, but a hot breakfast is available in the lobby area. Close to everything.

Location is great and amenities were very good. The only complaint I have is the decor looks like second hand motel stuff. The pull out sleeper needs to be replaced. The springs were prominent and there were crumbs from the couch all on it. We ended up not using it. I bit of updating wouldn’t hurt, but all in all, it was a nice place to stay.

Not as advertised. The place was a dump. It was very old in all ways. Old dirty carpet, linens, furniture and bedding. I question whether the sheets were clean when we arrived. Most hotels provide nice toiletries but not this place. The breakfast was not great. Would not recommend.

The suite was spacious and the bathroom setup, fresh towels, and toiletries were great. I saw windows being washed and rooms being readied for next guests. Also, staff members were very friendly and helpful. However, my suite had filthy carpet and was not adequately swept. Carpet edges were caked with dust. It also had soiled furniture and wrinkled/frayed curtains in one of the bedrooms. The manager or housekeeping supervisor should have a plan in which details such as baseboard edge sweeping/cleaning and carpet shampooing are addressed on a regular basis.

Overall stay good to very good. Luxury apartments need bureaus in bedrooms, breakfast was ok but not great. Outdoor pool was not open, indoor pool was terrific. Staff accommodating but no housekeeping except for towels, and supplies. Location in Hill City excellent close to attractions. Daily room rates very reasonable. Would stay again

Room was clean and roomy. Indoor pool was nice. Outside pool wasn't open when we were there. Breakfast was ok. Your normal hotel breakfast. I felt like it was worth the money.
