My husband and myself needed a base from which to visit various bird sites in and around Toowoomba. I'm guessing from from the bird theme inside, bird feeders etc outside that our hosts are also interested in the Birdlife! Oak Cottage has an old world charm, is very clean and well appointed. The gardens are beautiful. We prefer to stay in at night and prepare our own meals. The kitchen is well stocked with all that's needed. It was very quiet and comfortable in all respects. We would definitely choose to stay here again in the future.

Great stay at Oak Cottage. We had our 2 dogs who loved curling up in front of the gas fire and wandering around the yard on leash. We went on a great walk through gardens, the bed was comfortable and it was very relaxing before hitting the road again

We had a beautiful stay at Homewood cottages - the place was immaculate, toasty with the fire going, kindly stocked with basic cooking ingredients (salt, oil ect) and we enjoyed exploring the beautiful Arboretum next door. Highly recommended staying here!

We had a lovely weekend at Homewood Cottages in the Oak Cottage. The accommodation was cosy, clean and comfortable with everything you could possible need provided. I liked that the location was just out of the main city of Toowoomba in a semi rural setting. Thanks for an enjoyable experience. We would be very happy to stay again.

I booked the large cottage for my daughter to use the night before her Wedding, and it was PERFECT! I really cannot recommend this place enough, it is just beautiful - inside and out! So close to everything, but just entering the property you feel like a world away! I love Homewood Cottages!

Our stay in the forest cottage was magical, the cottage was perfectly cosy and the cottage garden was delightful to sit and relax in. The cottage has access to the Davidson Arboretum which was breathtakingly beautiful. The location was perfect with everything close by and lots of places to explore. We visited in late autumn and the colours were incredible. Lorraine and Bruce are exceptional hosts. The cottage and grounds are beautifully presented and our experience was fantastic. We will be back to further explore the area and see the gardens in spring.

I found the OAK cottage at Homewood Cottages at Highfields when searching online for a romantic 3 night stay to celebrate my wife's 78th. Looked just right. We were not disappointed - beautiful cottage in perfect setting. Very comfortable with abundance of interesting & quirky inclusions. The bowl of chocolates and dram of brandy ( though we don't indulge in the fine drop) were thoughtful 'welcome ' gifts from the hosts. We felt cared for. The location is central to a very beautiful rural area with lots of points of interest. The bird feeder and supply of bird seed brought extra interest to the door. Thanks Lorraine and Bruce. My husband and I (with our furbaby Betty) stayed overnight in Forest Cottage and wished we could have stayed longer. Such a delightful cottage with beautiful gardens and everything needed for a comfortable stay. Thank you to Lorraine and Bruce. We would highly recommend Homewood Cottages.

It was a lovely little cottage. Very romantic setting. The oak is the closest to the road for anyone going to stay, if we knew that we probably would of stayed next cottage down as you get alot of car lights in the cottage of a night, a blind over front windows would fix that. If you have 4wd you can’t fit under the awning parking so bring a small car. Was a bit disappointed that the electric fire place didn’t work, nor did the right side of electric blanket and a lot of things were fixed with blue tac (drove my handyman partner crazy😂). Overall was a enjoyable stay, the kitchen had everything you need which was really handy and would return when fireplace fixed. one of the two thing we looking forward to (bath and fireplace)
