Hotels in der Nähe von Statue of Erotokritos, Heraklion

Schon vor der Ankunft wurden wir mit allen Informationen für unsere Anreise ausgestattet. Bei unserer Ankunft war der Empfang besetzt und wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Unser zimmer war noch nicht ganz fertig, da wir etwas früher ankamen als geplant. Uns wurde für die Wartezeit ein Getränk angeboten und es gab eine schöne Sitzgelegenheit. Unser Zimmer war sehr schön und für eine Nacht mehr als ausreichend. Es gab einen leckeren handgemachten Begrüßungssnack, eine schöne Flasche Wein und andere Snacks. Wasser und eine kleine Kaffeemaschine waren inklusive. Wir sind leider schon sehr früh morgens aufgebrochen zum Hafen. Jedoch haben wir unsere kurze Übernachtung hier sehr genossen. Sollten wir wieder einmal ein paar Nächte in Heraklion verbringen wollen, wird das sicher eine Anlaufstelle für uns sein.

Wir waren für eine Woche zu Gast im Atlantis Hotel und fühlten uns dabei wohl. Zu Beginn die positiven Punkte: das Zimmer war sehr geräumig, wir hatten auch für die Koffer ausreichend Platz. Dazu kam ein geräumiger Kleiderschrank mit Safe. Auch der Balkon mit Stadt- bzw. Hafenblick war ein absolutes Highlight. Die beiden Pools waren klein, aber fein, jeweils mit ausreichend Liegen und Schirmen ausgestattet. Für den Blick in den Hafen wählt man den Pool ganz oben, für Ruhe und Schatten den Pool unten. Besonders hervorzuheben sind einerseits noch die Freundlichkeit des Personals an der Rezeption, andererseits das herausragende und reichhaltige Frühstück - hier sollte am Buffet wirklich für jeden etwas dabei sein. Die negativen Punkte möchte ich wie folgt zusammenfassen: aus unserer Sicht fehlte diesem eigentlichen Fünf-Sterne-Hotel das Besondere - es gab keinen Willkommensdrink, keine Wasserflaschen auf dem Zimmer, selbst Duschgel und Shampoo waren fest installiert. Außerdem empfanden wir den offenen Duschbereich als störend, eine Trennwand oder ein separates Bad wäre super gewesen. Zudem war uns der Zimmerservice ein Dorn im Auge - vollkommen unkoordiniert, mal erst um 15:30 Uhr, mal bereits um 09:30 Uhr, als man noch auf dem Zimmer war nach dem Frühstück. Wir hätten uns hier mehr Koordination und auch Gründlichkeit beim Reinigen gewünscht. Insgesamt möchte ich hier vier Sterne vergeben und eine deutliche Empfehlung aussprechen - allein das Buffet war es Wert!

Vor dem Abflug eine Nacht im Megaron übernachtet, um nach dem Strandurlaub noch was von Heraklion mitzukriegen... Lage (mit eigenem kostenlosem Parkplatz direkt vor dem Hotel!) perfekt, alle Sehenswürdigkeiten in maximal 500 Metern Entfernung zu erreichen - aber auch am Flugplatz ist man in ca. 15 Minuten mit dem Auto. Das Hotel selbt ist einer der seltenen Fälle, in denen ein klassisches Grand Hotel behutsam und geschmackvoll modernisiert wurde; alle MitarbeiterInnen sind von nicht zu überbietender Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft, auch das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen. In der geräumigen, uns freundlicherweise als Upgrade zugewiesenen Junior Suite konnte man (wenn man wollte) von der (gigantischen) Badewanne aus fernsehen - haben wir so auch noch nicht gesehen! Vom Dachrestaurant im 5. Stock hat man einen großartigen Blick auf den Hafen und das Kastell. Auch die Hygienemaßnahmen wg. COVID-19 wurden unaufdringlich, aber konsequent umgesetzt - kurz: Wir fanden hier auch mit großer Mühe überhaupt nichts zu kritisieren und würden uns selbstverständlich jederzeit wieder einquartieren.

Das Hotel liegt nahe am Hafen, auch nicht weit von der Innenstadt Iraklion. Die Zimmer sind ordentlich, aber die sanitären Einrichtungen könnten mal wieder überholt werden. Das Internet ist umsonst und sehr schnell. Kühlschrank, Bett, Klimaanlage alles vorhanden. Klimaanlage schwierig bis nicht zu programmieren. Die Lage ist ruhig, aber zu den Nachbarzimmern ist die Schallisolierung nicht ausreichend, wenn man laute Nachbarn hat. Sehr freundliches Personal an der Rezeption, teilweise auch deutschsprachig. Parken kann man hier nicht, es ist zu nah an der Innenstadt Iraklion. Wir haben im ”Central Parking” geparkt, ca. 200 m weg. Da kostet es über Nacht 10 € im Hoteltarif (Bezahlung im Hotel), sonst 15 €. Also sagen, dass man in einem der Hotels übernachtet. Man bekommt dann einen Stempel auf die Rechnung, mit der man am nächsten Tag ausfährt. Das Fahren in der Innenstadt erfordert das Rangieren mit dem Auto in engen zugeparkten Gassen. Mit einem SUV würde ich das nicht machen, Golf- oder Tiguan-Klasse geht gut, wenn man sein Auto einschätzen kann. Es gibt einen freien Parkplatz vor dem Hotel. Wenn dieser frei ist, kann man Gepäck ein- und ausladen. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut, wird im sechsten Stock eingenommen. Da hat man einen wunderbaren Blick auf den Hafen. Wir waren in der Nebensaison da, das Einzelzimmer kostete knapp 50 € pro Nacht mit Frühstück. Das ist sehr preiswert. Da kann man über kleinere Ausstattungsmängel im Zimmer hinweg sehen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

We stayed at the hotel for five nights in July 2022. There were eight of us in total so two families. The location is absolutely perfect as it is right in the middle of Heraklion, opposite the bustling square with its wonderful with its Artisan stalls which are worth visiting and only a short walk to the shops and wonderful selection of restaurants. Heraklion is a truly bustling and Cosmopolitan city. The Hotel is very close to Heraklion Archaeological Museum and a bus or taxi ride to the beach. It is also not too far from the port you can walk there but we took a very quick taxi due to the heat. Upon arrival we were made to feel very welcome and our baggage was taken to our room for us. The reception area is refreshing to walk into from the heat outside and the decor is lovely and very modern with a comfortable seating area. There is a downstairs bar which is very chic with beautiful artwork where you can eat and you can just walk through to the shops outside to have a mooch with is perfect. Our check in process was very smooth and efficient. Check out is at 12 and check in is at 2. We had travelled from Chania by taxi. and were a little early. The gentleman on reception was able to find our group a room to check into while they got our other rooms ready which was very helpful and we did not have to wait too long. We had the economy rooms two different types between us. The ones which have balconies and the ones which are inside but don't have a balcony. The latter were a bit bigger than the ones with the balcony and the children's bed has its own little area which we really liked. The bathroom and room were very clean and the cleaners were very helpful and polite. We had a small fridge all the usual amenities you would expect and the air conditioning always worked well. I really feel (being from the UK) that the hotel represents very good value for the price we paid - if we were to pay a similar price in England we would not be staying in nearly such a nice hotel that's for sure. Certainly not one with a pool on the roof! We absolutely loved the roof area. The pool is quite small (but still big enough to have a lovely, cool swim). The pool area is clean and there are sunbeds and chairs you can sit on around the pool and plenty of place to sunbathe. It is absolutely lovely the perfect place to relax and take in the view. They also have a lifeguard up there at all times which we were not expecting. The pool is open until 8 at night but you can still go up to the roof for drinks and to eat your dinner after this time. They also provide towels for you which is great. The bar on the roof is absolutely excellent and the service is impeccable. The bar staff and waiters and waitresses work so hard and are so friendly (whilst also remaining professional). The bar food is great especially the mini burgers and the club sandwiches are to die for. You can also have dinner up on the roof and there are lots of lovely tables and chairs to chose fro

Un bellissimo hotel nel cuore di Heraklion.. il personale giovane dinamico efficiente , dalla reception ai servizi di colazione e ristorante al roof, sono a dir poco 10 e lode … Alla reception (una ragazza bionda con gli occhi azzurri di cui non ricordo il nome) molto gentile e cordiale e professionale sulla gestione della città , i ragazzi alla colazione attenti alle esigenze e alle richieste (incredibile ricordavano alla perfezione nei giorni successivi alla prima richiesta ), i ragazzi dell ristorante all’ultimo piano bravi e i cuochi e chef eccezionali .. Se ritorno a Candia, sarà l’unico hire che prenderò in considerazione! Grazie ragazzi a voi tutti Beppe (Giuseppe) A beautiful hotel in the heart of Heraklion .. the young dynamic efficient staff, from the reception to the breakfast services and the restaurant on the roof, are nothing short of top marks … At the reception (a blonde girl with blue eyes whose name I don't remember) very kind and cordial and professional on the management of the city, the guys at breakfast attentive to needs and requests (incredible they remembered perfectly in the days following the first request I made) , the guys from the top floor restaurant and the exceptional cooks and chefs ..
