Hotels in der Nähe von Flughafen Iraklio „Nikos Kazantzakis“, Iraklio

Da wir nach Mitternacht in Heraklion ankamen, machte es für uns Sinn, eine Übernachtung in der Nähe des Flughafens zu buchen und erst am neuen Morgen Leihwagen etc zu organisieren. Die Strecke Hotel/Flughafen kostet 10 Euro, Fahrtzeit 5 min. Hotel liegt in einer Nebenstraße, kaum Autoverkehr. Hotel sehr sauber, Zimmer + Dusche einwandfrei, kleiner Balkon vorhanden, Frühstück gut. Überfliegende Flugzeuge haben wir nicht wirklich wahrgenommen.

Fast ein schlechtes Innenniveau. Nicht ein Ort zum Aufenthalt. Das Frühstück ist noch laut, aber es ist noch einen Tag wert, bevor Sie zum Flughafen gehen.

Per il resto assolutamente sconsigliato, la nostra stanza era un piano terra soppalcato umido e claustrofobico, in 4 ci si muoveva a stento, aria condizionata appena percettibile e cattivo odore. Il bagno,piccolissimo, bisognava fare manovra per entrare, con la porta che si apriva sbattendo sul wc e si restava praticamente incastrati. Colazione pessima, scelta misera fra briochine imbustate con qualità da discount, la ragazza addetta alla colazione con l'aria sfuggente e annoiata. Non comprendo le recensioni positive ed entusiaste, purtroppo ci hanno guidato male nella scelta di questo hotel, che di ”luxury ” non ha niente, oltretutto non ha parcheggio e non ha nessuna posizione vantaggiosa rispetto alla città e all'aeroporto,anzi è posizionato fuori mano e in una zona squallida. 170 euro per una notte si potevano spendere molto meglio.

Stopped off at Hotel Karteros as our flight out of Heraklion was delayed. What a pleasant surprise. Well run family establishment, with manicured garden and pool. Best of all was the warm welcome from the owner Ilias and his family. Could not have been more accommodating. Thanks for transforming our disappointment over the flight delay into a most pleasant stay at your hotel.

We chose Anemos Suites as we were looking for somewhere self-catering at the end of a month in various parts of Greece. We stayed in ”suite” 302 titled ”Sea Horse”. The room was quite spacious but there were very limited kitchen supplies. Only 3 of everything supplied (bowls, glasses etc), one burner that you plug in, kettle, sandwich toaster, one saucepan, milk pan, frypan, no microwave. We never made any meals or even a cup of tea here! They had a restaurant on site and the meal the night we arrived was tasty enough, but my husband got food poisoning from the club sandwich that night. A better dining alternative is down the end of the lane near the beach at the News Seaside Bar Restaurant where I had the best club sandwich and chips in Greece! On the second day (our first morning there, and my birthday) I attempted to have a shower but the water was cold. My husband then realised the bathroom was flooding not in the shower cubicle but bubbling up in the middle of the bathroom behind me where I hadn’t noticed. By the time he warned me and I turned it off, it was flooding out into the living area. We managed to move my suitcase just in time. We reported it but there was no-one around that morning that spoke much English. They understood enough to send the cleaner over to mop up the water and she somehow fixed the blockage, however the water was still cold so we couldn’t shower. We tried to communicate with the staff about when the hot water would be fixed but were instead handed a breakfast menu. When we asked to see the manager we were told only ”later”. After wasting a couple of hours that morning trying to resolve things (including calling our travel agent who also contacted the manager) we ended up having a sponge wash and went out to start our day. By the time we left (around 11am) someone who spoke English had arrived and he was able to tell me that a plumber would be there later that afternoon. He also gave us directions to find a doctor as my husband had developed an infection in his leg and needed antibiotics. So he at least was helpful. After returning late afternoon, I asked if we could have a replacement bathmat and hand towel as they were still soaking wet from the flooding. The elderly Greek owners started arguing with each other in Greek and then the woman argued with me saying “tomorrow” as in they were only due to replace the towels tomorrow. I think she also wanted payment for changing them earlier. I tried to explain about our room flooding but she couldn’t understand. I said they should be compensating us with a free breakfast or drinks not arguing about replacing a couple of towels, and said we would give them a bad review. There was a worker there who spoke good English (we had interacted with him the evening before) but instead of interpreting what we were saying he just went and sat at the check in desk and didn’t want to get involved. I gave up and 5 minutes later the elderly Greek lady came to our room with two towel

Das ist in Englisch für meine Kollegen. Wo beginne ich? 6 Gepäck 4 Taschen und niemand hat uns geholfen, weder ein Willkommen noch ein Hallo! Wir fühlten unsichtbar, bis wir zum Rezeption gingen und was für ein Albtraum es war. Der Empfangsmann war manisch über alle 3 Gäste, die ihm die ID-Nummern geben, als ob der von der Person, die reserviert wurde, nicht genug war. Als ob unser Flug nicht buchbar in 8(?) Stunden.Würde uns nicht einmal nicht gesetzlich lassen. Stellen Sie sich vor, so lange auf den Straßen zu sein, zu spät zu kommen und mit diesem zu kämpfen. Einer meiner Freunde schrieb seinen Namen und der Empfänger nannte ihn, weil er die Briefe nicht lesen konnte, aber jeder andere konnte. Als er zum Essen ging und kam, nicht einmal 2 Stunden nach der Eincheckung, schrie der Mann an denselben Freund, der auf den Treppen ging, als sprach er mit einem schlecht behavenen Hund. Sagte, dass 3 Mädchen im Zimmer leben und zeigte ihm das Papier, dass mein Freund schrieb, dass eindeutig ein MÄNNLICHEN Name hatte und HOW ON ERD ER WAS ER WERDEN MANN NICHT. Ist nicht ein fünf-Sterne-Beschäftigtes Hotel, würde es ein 1, so wie beschäftigt war er diese 2 Stunden? Über das Zimmer, fand Haare im Toilette. Nur gutes, das einzige renovierte. Altes und kleine Türen, wenn Sie die Tür öffnen, schlägt es die Wände und irritiert die Gäste um. Wir blieben bei 210, seine 3 Personenkapazität, die „Ansicht“ war Rückenräume und Mechanismen, voll von Pigeons, wir hatten Angst, das Fenster zu öffnen, weil sie auch nichts getan haben, um sie zu verhindern. Ich Wünsche, ich hätte ein Bild genommen, aber ich war zu müde, um das zu behandeln. Vielleicht werden Sie mehr Glück mit dem Empfangsservice und dem Zimmer, aber ich würde nicht zulassen, Glück zu definieren, wenn ich mein hart gearbeitetes Geld ausgeben, so tun Sie das gleiche. The hotel is strategically located within walls of old city between the beach of Ammoudara and the main attractions, not so far from them. Hotel is re-innovated 7 floor building. Rooms are not large, but but enough for the convenient accommodation. The room has the safe, TV, several chairs, table and the wardrobe, electric kettle, air conditioner. There is quite large balcony with two beach chairs and the small table and also drying hanger for the clothes. Unfortunately there is quite a lot of dust in the air from street, so everything gets dusty very quickly. The room has electric sockets next to the beds and two other sockets, one of them with USB port. The personnel speaks English and very friendly and helpful. The avenue Kalokerinou named after the discoverer of the Knossos Palace is quite busy road so it is nicer to live on higher floors. There is a restaurant serving good continental breakfast. There is omelette, ham, cheese, Greek yogurt, flakes, fruits, on the menu. Just 70 meters from the hotel there is Bazaar and in 200 m is Chalkiadakis supermarket, Lidl in 800 m outside of the city walls. All closed on Sundays. The avenue Kalokerinou has several street food places, and if you walk 400 m to Morosini Lions Fountain you can find even more restaurants there. Heraklion has a problem with great beaches, but in 500 m from the hotel there is a Dermatos Bay, where is a wild beach where one can deep into the sea. The proper beach is in Ammoudara in 2.2 km from the hotel. There is another beach in 1 km in front of Talos Plaza shopping mall, but it is rocky and no sunbeds or lifeguard. Another place to swim is the port mole starting from the Kules fortress in 1.2 km. The mole protects from high waves when it is windy and other places are not suitable for swimming.

Sehr schöne Einrichtung, super freundliches Personal, gutes Frühstück, angenehmer Aufenthalt. Zimmer mit Balkon und Meerblick, oben!

Dieses Hotel ist der perfekte Beweis dafür, dass es keine 5 Sterne braucht, um einzigartig zu sein.  Bereits beim Ankommen fühlte ich mich sofort wohl. Der Hotelbesitzer (Yannis) ist ein sehr herzlicher Mensch. Ich war alleine im Urlaub und er erkundigte sich jeden Tag bei mir, ob es mir gut geht und ob ich irgendetwas brauche. Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet (Kühlschrank, Wasserkocher, kostenfreies WLAN, Klimaanlage gegen geringe Gebühr). Nicht außer Acht zu lassen ist das Frühstück – ihr bekommt einen Tisch voller regionaler Köstlichkeiten gedeckt, auf eure Wünsche wird eingegangen und man wird mehr als satt.  Der Ort ist klein, hat gute Restaurants, einen schönen Strand und Supermärkte. Auch die Busanbindung ist super. (Ca. 10 Minuten Fahrt zum Flughafen, 15 Minuten nach Heraklion, 15 Minuten zum CretAquarium)  Yannis steht euch auch bei sämtlichen Fragen bereit, empfiehlt euch Restaurants und hilft auch gerne beim Buchen verschiedener Tagesaktivitäten. In einer Rezension über dieses Hotel habe ich gelesen: „Man kommt als Gast und geht als Freund.“ Dieser Aussage kann ich nur zu 100 % zustimmen.  Ich freue mich schon sehr auf meinen nächsten Besuch im Hotel Anna Appartments.
