Dieses Mittelklasse-Hotel am Kathedralenplatz profitiert von seinem angenehmen Ambiente inmitten eines Wohnquartiers, jenseits der Touristenströme. Dennoch sind es von hier nur ein paar Schritte ins Zentrum und zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt. Unser Zimmer im 5. Stock war zwar spartanisch eingerichtet, besaß aber eine akzeptable Größe und vor allem eine überdimensionierte Terrasse mit einem Jakuzzi- Bad hoch über den Dächern der Nachbarhäuser. Hier konnte man ohne air con- dition ruhig schlafen und sich an der Aussicht ( Stadt, Meer, drei Kirchen ) berauschen. Man muss allerdings wissen, dass alle anderen Zimmer des Hotels viel kleiner sind und bestenfalls einen kleinen Balkon besitzen. Insofern hat sich das Hotel auch primär auf Gäste konzentriert, die nur kurz bleiben wollen, was man auch an der unzureichenden Bestückung mit Schränken, Bügeln oder Gepäckraum erkennt. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist an ein Restaurant ausgelagert, das sich im gleichen Gebäude befindet. Es bietet dem Gast, besonders morgens und abends, eine reizvolle Atmosphäre im Freien, aber leider auch ein qualitativ sehr mäßiges Frühstück. Die Rezeption wird von zwei Damen und einem Herrn betreut, die hilfs- bereit, freundlich und sprachlich versiert waren. Wenn es Ihnen gelingt, die Penthouse-Juniorsuite zu erhalten, werden Sie Ihren Heraklion-Aufenthalt nicht so schnell vergessen.

I had a pleasant 7 night stay here at this accommodation while in Heraklion, Crete. It belongs to the Lato Boutique, which is the main hotel. The Annex is right opposite and required card access to enter. Room was the Economy room (15 sq. metres), a little on the small side, but good enough for a solo traveller. The room was right next to the stairwell and the lift, so there were times I could hear people moving about, but at night it was very quiet, and there were no sleep disruptions. Bed was comfy, air-conditioning was also good. The shower was also good, with shampoo and soap provided, though I noticed it was running a little low towards the end of my stay (i.e., no refills were done). I also appreciated that a luggage rack was provided, along with two bottles of water on check-in day. Fridge was big enough to fit lots of mineral water bottles to keep them cold, which would be a great reprieve in the summer time. Room safe was incredibly huge as well, it can easily store laptops securely, if needed. The elevator door got stuck on the day of check-out, but still worked, so not too big of an issue there. Wi-Fi requires a special code that you can get from the reception. My first code strangely stopped working after two days, but was promptly rectified after I informed the reception of the issue. There were no other connectivity issues for me. The hotel location is pretty near to the Venetian Port, and the Rocca Fortress; it is also walking distance away from the main shopping street in Heraklion and lots of good eating places nearby. There are also supermarkets nearby to get water as well. It does get quiet at night, but I did not encounter any incidents that made me feel unsafe. My room came with buffet breakfast included, which is served in the main building. Breakfast starts service from 7 am onwards, and was generally quite crowded at the start. Depending on the crowd level, the staff will occasionally open up a new section of the dining area. Breakfast was generally good, there was a good spread of American breakfast items, to pastries, ham and cheese and even Greek yogurt with a lot of condiments. It varied a little bit from day-to-day, but was generally the same for the most part.

From the moment we checked-in to the our check-out, the hotel staff was helpful and accommodating. Mary checked us in and helped us with our air-conditioning since we had an issue turning it on. Mary greeted us with a homemade Greek drink and we had complimentary snacks in our room. The location was perfect for us as we took the ferry into Heraklion and walked about 10 minutes from the ferry dock to the hotel. I chose this hotel due to our transportation needs. Our plan was to stay one night and we needed to take the bus from Heraklion to Chania, and the Central Bus Station is right across from the hotel, which made everything easy and convenient. We also took the local bus to Knossos Palace, and the bus stop happened to be across from the hotel as well. Since we only stayed for one night, the hotel has a luggage room that we used because we wanted to tour Knossos Palace the morning we checked-out. I highly recommend this hotel to others.

Perfekt.zimmer,bad und vor allem die Matratzen waren sehr gut. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben sehr gut geschlafen und am nächsten Tag in einem super bad geduscht. Das Frühstücksbuffet war ausreichend

Wir sind abends in Heraklion gelandet und für eine Nacht geblieben, bevor wir weitergereist sind. Wir hatten den Flughafentransfer dazugebucht, was hervorragend funktioniert hat. Die Zimmer sind funktional, schlicht aber geschmackvoll und sehr modern. Sehr sauber! Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr zuvorkommend. Ab nächstem Jahr soll auch ein Café angeschlossen werden. Bis dahin kann man sich tolles Frühstück in einer Bäckerei (drei Minuten Fußweg) holen und auf dem Balkon genießen. Tolles Hotel, würde ich jederzeit wieder buchen.

Da wir nach Mitternacht in Heraklion ankamen, machte es für uns Sinn, eine Übernachtung in der Nähe des Flughafens zu buchen und erst am neuen Morgen Leihwagen etc zu organisieren. Die Strecke Hotel/Flughafen kostet 10 Euro, Fahrtzeit 5 min. Hotel liegt in einer Nebenstraße, kaum Autoverkehr. Hotel sehr sauber, Zimmer + Dusche einwandfrei, kleiner Balkon vorhanden, Frühstück gut. Überfliegende Flugzeuge haben wir nicht wirklich wahrgenommen.

I couldn’t fault it, it is absolutely amazing more than I expected. The interior design is amazing and professionally done, bathroom design gave me ideas for our new home. It’s near shops but having a car is a must, Crete is one large and beautiful island. The restaurant outside is amazing and we also found a great cafe down the road which had great food.

The hotel is well situated close to the airport and there are numerous beaches in walking distance. It is a family run hotel, and there is a very friendly atmosphere. No effort is spared in keeping the rooms clean and tidy. The breakfast is appetizing and the selection is varied. Why stay in the city in summertime. It’s wiser to stay at a beachfront hotel . They is adequate parking area in front and to the side of the hotel. The hotel exceeded expectations.

Die Anlage ist sehr schön, das Personal sehr nett und aufgestellt. Das Essen ist sehr gut, auch das Buffet Restaurant macht einen sehr angenehmen Eindruck, was man ja sonst teilweise von Buffet Restaurants in All Inklusive Resorts nicht sagen kann. Schade, dass man die Getränke ab 23 Uhr bezahlen muss und das der DJ ab 23 Uhr auch immer leiser wird. Eine Aufmerksamkeit zum Geburtstag wäre noch nett gewesen, bin ich mir von anderen Hotels, teilweise auch Pensionen ohne Stern, sonst gewohnt. Die Drinks sind übrigens auch sehr gut, nicht einfach wie sonst in All Inklusive einfach so zusammengemixt.
