I couldn’t fault it, it is absolutely amazing more than I expected. The interior design is amazing and professionally done, bathroom design gave me ideas for our new home. It’s near shops but having a car is a must, Crete is one large and beautiful island. The restaurant outside is amazing and we also found a great cafe down the road which had great food.

From the moment we checked-in to the our check-out, the hotel staff was helpful and accommodating. Mary checked us in and helped us with our air-conditioning since we had an issue turning it on. Mary greeted us with a homemade Greek drink and we had complimentary snacks in our room. The location was perfect for us as we took the ferry into Heraklion and walked about 10 minutes from the ferry dock to the hotel. I chose this hotel due to our transportation needs. Our plan was to stay one night and we needed to take the bus from Heraklion to Chania, and the Central Bus Station is right across from the hotel, which made everything easy and convenient. We also took the local bus to Knossos Palace, and the bus stop happened to be across from the hotel as well. Since we only stayed for one night, the hotel has a luggage room that we used because we wanted to tour Knossos Palace the morning we checked-out. I highly recommend this hotel to others.

Das Personal ist freundlich, diskret und sehr aufmerksam, an der Rezeption, im Restaurant und morgens beim Frühstück. Hat man selten auf diesem Niveau. Das Menu der Halbpension ist wirklich gut. Die Speisenkarte der HP erlaubt es jeden Tag etwas anderes zu essen. Sehr schmackhaft und tolle Dekoration. Ein gelungener Aufenthalt. Das wirklich einzige B-Moll war der wegen Renovierung geschlossene Pool.

Das Aquila Atlantis war für 14 Tage für uns die optimale ”Basis” für vielfältige Ausflüge über die Insel mit dem Auto. Die Lage mit einem schönen Ausblick auf den Fähr- und Kreuzfahrthafen (zumindest ab dem 3. Stock) ist zudem optimal um in das quirlige Leben im Zentrum Heraklions einzutauchen. Für unseren Ausflug nach Santorini war die Nähe zum Hafen ein weiterer Pluspunkt. Sehr geräumige, saubere und gut ausgestattete Zimmer. Das Frühstücksbuffet lässt keine Wünsche offen. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal in allen Bereichen. Der schöne Pool auf der Dachterrasse ist optimal für eine Abkühlung zwischendurch. Kurzer Transfer vom und zum Flughafen Heraklion. Noch eine kleine Anmerkung zum Schluss: Schade dass der Hotelmanager es nicht für nötig hält, seine Gäste zumindest mit einem kurzen guten Morgen oder guten Tag zu bedenken... Wäre das Personal derart unfreundlich, könnte man das Hotel definitiv nicht empfehlen. Aber zum Glück wird man von dem Herrn ja nicht bedient. Alles in allem eine sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel, das wir gerne wieder wählen werden für unseren nächsten Aufenthalt in Heraklion.

Das Hotel liegt nahe am Hafen, auch nicht weit von der Innenstadt Iraklion. Die Zimmer sind ordentlich, aber die sanitären Einrichtungen könnten mal wieder überholt werden. Das Internet ist umsonst und sehr schnell. Kühlschrank, Bett, Klimaanlage alles vorhanden. Klimaanlage schwierig bis nicht zu programmieren. Die Lage ist ruhig, aber zu den Nachbarzimmern ist die Schallisolierung nicht ausreichend, wenn man laute Nachbarn hat. Sehr freundliches Personal an der Rezeption, teilweise auch deutschsprachig. Parken kann man hier nicht, es ist zu nah an der Innenstadt Iraklion. Wir haben im ”Central Parking” geparkt, ca. 200 m weg. Da kostet es über Nacht 10 € im Hoteltarif (Bezahlung im Hotel), sonst 15 €. Also sagen, dass man in einem der Hotels übernachtet. Man bekommt dann einen Stempel auf die Rechnung, mit der man am nächsten Tag ausfährt. Das Fahren in der Innenstadt erfordert das Rangieren mit dem Auto in engen zugeparkten Gassen. Mit einem SUV würde ich das nicht machen, Golf- oder Tiguan-Klasse geht gut, wenn man sein Auto einschätzen kann. Es gibt einen freien Parkplatz vor dem Hotel. Wenn dieser frei ist, kann man Gepäck ein- und ausladen. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut, wird im sechsten Stock eingenommen. Da hat man einen wunderbaren Blick auf den Hafen. Wir waren in der Nebensaison da, das Einzelzimmer kostete knapp 50 € pro Nacht mit Frühstück. Das ist sehr preiswert. Da kann man über kleinere Ausstattungsmängel im Zimmer hinweg sehen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

We stayed at the hotel for five nights in July 2022. There were eight of us in total so two families. The location is absolutely perfect as it is right in the middle of Heraklion, opposite the bustling square with its wonderful with its Artisan stalls which are worth visiting and only a short walk to the shops and wonderful selection of restaurants. Heraklion is a truly bustling and Cosmopolitan city. The Hotel is very close to Heraklion Archaeological Museum and a bus or taxi ride to the beach. It is also not too far from the port you can walk there but we took a very quick taxi due to the heat. Upon arrival we were made to feel very welcome and our baggage was taken to our room for us. The reception area is refreshing to walk into from the heat outside and the decor is lovely and very modern with a comfortable seating area. There is a downstairs bar which is very chic with beautiful artwork where you can eat and you can just walk through to the shops outside to have a mooch with is perfect. Our check in process was very smooth and efficient. Check out is at 12 and check in is at 2. We had travelled from Chania by taxi. and were a little early. The gentleman on reception was able to find our group a room to check into while they got our other rooms ready which was very helpful and we did not have to wait too long. We had the economy rooms two different types between us. The ones which have balconies and the ones which are inside but don't have a balcony. The latter were a bit bigger than the ones with the balcony and the children's bed has its own little area which we really liked. The bathroom and room were very clean and the cleaners were very helpful and polite. We had a small fridge all the usual amenities you would expect and the air conditioning always worked well. I really feel (being from the UK) that the hotel represents very good value for the price we paid - if we were to pay a similar price in England we would not be staying in nearly such a nice hotel that's for sure. Certainly not one with a pool on the roof! We absolutely loved the roof area. The pool is quite small (but still big enough to have a lovely, cool swim). The pool area is clean and there are sunbeds and chairs you can sit on around the pool and plenty of place to sunbathe. It is absolutely lovely the perfect place to relax and take in the view. They also have a lifeguard up there at all times which we were not expecting. The pool is open until 8 at night but you can still go up to the roof for drinks and to eat your dinner after this time. They also provide towels for you which is great. The bar on the roof is absolutely excellent and the service is impeccable. The bar staff and waiters and waitresses work so hard and are so friendly (whilst also remaining professional). The bar food is great especially the mini burgers and the club sandwiches are to die for. You can also have dinner up on the roof and there are lots of lovely tables and chairs to chose fro

I booked this hotel through AGODA and when I got to the hotel I was told that there was no reservation under my name. I had a confirmation and even an email from the Hotel, so I could not understand. The lady at the reception found me a room but said that could not assure all the stay because they were full. I complained and the manager did all the efforts to understand and found out that AGODA and booking are making reservations with the rates of Olympic Hotel (at Moires a city out of Heraklion), where they were expecting me, and the address of Hotel Olympic. Although it was also not their fault, they were tireless to understand the problem and help me with the booking. I managed to stay there the entire time. They were alaways very nice, the room was perfectly ok and the breakfast also ok for the price. The localization is excellent. A very good choice!

Das ist in Englisch für meine Kollegen. Wo beginne ich? 6 Gepäck 4 Taschen und niemand hat uns geholfen, weder ein Willkommen noch ein Hallo! Wir fühlten unsichtbar, bis wir zum Rezeption gingen und was für ein Albtraum es war. Der Empfangsmann war manisch über alle 3 Gäste, die ihm die ID-Nummern geben, als ob der von der Person, die reserviert wurde, nicht genug war. Als ob unser Flug nicht buchbar in 8(?) Stunden.Würde uns nicht einmal nicht gesetzlich lassen. Stellen Sie sich vor, so lange auf den Straßen zu sein, zu spät zu kommen und mit diesem zu kämpfen. Einer meiner Freunde schrieb seinen Namen und der Empfänger nannte ihn, weil er die Briefe nicht lesen konnte, aber jeder andere konnte. Als er zum Essen ging und kam, nicht einmal 2 Stunden nach der Eincheckung, schrie der Mann an denselben Freund, der auf den Treppen ging, als sprach er mit einem schlecht behavenen Hund. Sagte, dass 3 Mädchen im Zimmer leben und zeigte ihm das Papier, dass mein Freund schrieb, dass eindeutig ein MÄNNLICHEN Name hatte und HOW ON ERD ER WAS ER WERDEN MANN NICHT. Ist nicht ein fünf-Sterne-Beschäftigtes Hotel, würde es ein 1, so wie beschäftigt war er diese 2 Stunden? Über das Zimmer, fand Haare im Toilette. Nur gutes, das einzige renovierte. Altes und kleine Türen, wenn Sie die Tür öffnen, schlägt es die Wände und irritiert die Gäste um. Wir blieben bei 210, seine 3 Personenkapazität, die „Ansicht“ war Rückenräume und Mechanismen, voll von Pigeons, wir hatten Angst, das Fenster zu öffnen, weil sie auch nichts getan haben, um sie zu verhindern. Ich Wünsche, ich hätte ein Bild genommen, aber ich war zu müde, um das zu behandeln. Vielleicht werden Sie mehr Glück mit dem Empfangsservice und dem Zimmer, aber ich würde nicht zulassen, Glück zu definieren, wenn ich mein hart gearbeitetes Geld ausgeben, so tun Sie das gleiche. Dieses Mittelklasse-Hotel am Kathedralenplatz profitiert von seinem angenehmen Ambiente inmitten eines Wohnquartiers, jenseits der Touristenströme. Dennoch sind es von hier nur ein paar Schritte ins Zentrum und zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt. Unser Zimmer im 5. Stock war zwar spartanisch eingerichtet, besaß aber eine akzeptable Größe und vor allem eine überdimensionierte Terrasse mit einem Jakuzzi- Bad hoch über den Dächern der Nachbarhäuser. Hier konnte man ohne air con- dition ruhig schlafen und sich an der Aussicht ( Stadt, Meer, drei Kirchen ) berauschen. Man muss allerdings wissen, dass alle anderen Zimmer des Hotels viel kleiner sind und bestenfalls einen kleinen Balkon besitzen. Insofern hat sich das Hotel auch primär auf Gäste konzentriert, die nur kurz bleiben wollen, was man auch an der unzureichenden Bestückung mit Schränken, Bügeln oder Gepäckraum erkennt. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist an ein Restaurant ausgelagert, das sich im gleichen Gebäude befindet. Es bietet dem Gast, besonders morgens und abends, eine reizvolle Atmosphäre im Freien, aber leider auch ein qualitativ sehr mäßiges Frühstück. Die Rezeption wird von zwei Damen und einem Herrn betreut, die hilfs- bereit, freundlich und sprachlich versiert waren. Wenn es Ihnen gelingt, die Penthouse-Juniorsuite zu erhalten, werden Sie Ihren Heraklion-Aufenthalt nicht so schnell vergessen.
