Just had an amazing Sunday lunch here.the beef was plentiful and very tender.the lamb shank fell off the bone beautifully.the staff are very friendly and accommodating.everything about the place feels relaxed and welcoming we will definitely eat here again when in the area would recomend

We have been visiting Rye for the last 20 or so years and have stayed in around 10 different places and without doubt The Kings Head Inn was by far and away the very best we have ever stayed in !!!!...The en suite chalets were wonderful, so much room with everything one could want plus a very large King sized bed, large parking area for your car right outside, fabulous pub !!!!...so warm and welcoming, staff are very friendly and helpful, and the food ???? well we have not had better food in or around Rye ever, the menu at The Kings Head caters for everyone, it is beautifully presented, sumptuous and plentiful, and I doubt you will find better priced food anywhere in Rye, the pub is situated about 10 minutes walk from the Town so it is very near, we spoke to a few of the staff and they have been there for years as they say the owners Lisa and Steve have been so good to them and have always treated them wonderfully well, believe me it shows, we did stop going to Rye about 4 years ago because staying there had become expensive, there was no parking, food was terrible (and expensive) in the town and most did not take pets (we have a little poodle) my wife found The Kings Head on the internet and it fits every need, FABULOUS EVERYTHING !!!!.....Staying there, food, parking, pets, and best rates......thank you all, we had a marvellous time and will return very soon......... THOROUGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!!!!...YOU WONT FIND BETTER !!!!!

Lovely hotel rooms. Big comfy superking bed, and I liked that there was a decent arm chair with accompanying throw for the nights when you just can't sleep! Shower entrance was a bit fiddly to negotiate as a larger person but the actual shower was powerful and efficient. Might benefit from a non slip mat? Attention to decor and maintenance is clear. It was nice to have 2 outside chairs and a table allocated to each room. I'm a bit tottery these days so I found the uneven slightly muddy bit of car park that led to the back entrance patio a bit difficult to negotiate as it's not lit . Had a delicious meal in the restaurant, where in addition to a standard menu, there were about 15 specials on the chalkboard! The staff were fantastic- special shout out to Hilary who answered all my queries effectively and pleasantly. Will definitely stay here again.

Just popped in for dinner and a couple of drinks, staff and locals extremely friendly, dinner hit the spot with plenty of choice. Excellent service, and nothing too much trouble. Roaring fire to sit round in cosy chairs, tables and chairs in bar plus a more formal dining room to eat. Highly recommend

22 of us visited here on 24/11/24 and it was flawless. The service and quality of food (especially given how many of us there were), was incredible. I had the pork belly and then the apple and cinnamon crumble which were both excellent. All of the staff were super kind and attentive. Highly recommend and would come again for sure! Thanks again.

Stayed for Rye fireworks display. A really nice stay over, and a really nice pub. We were given one of the outside, what they call, cottages with all amenities at hand. Breakfast was a good variety. We really enjoyed our brief stay and will not hesitate to stay again.
