Have stayed at Orwell Hotel many times. First time in 2002! Great location, very comfortable and clean, great breakfasts, plenty of lounge space. My only quibble was that hotel didn't really seem geared up for dinners/lunches, maybe there is less demand for these nowadays. In the past the main dining room has been used and it was more formal/smarter.

Was a lovely experience to stay in Ipswich, staff was lovely at holiday inn and was a lovely atmosphere and environment for me and my children for our weekend away so thank you so much for the lovely experience 😊

I had stayed here before with my wife a few months back but this time something went wrong with my online booking as I did not get an email confirmation so I could not review my booking without a reference number. I then decided not to book directly but through Agoda and I was successful but when I arrived at the premises I discovered that two rooms were booked under my name. Jonny in reception saved the day because he cancelled one of the rooms for me and ensured that my room was cleaned in good time so that I could go to the football match on time. I know all about hotel life, having been a hotel manager, bar manager and purchase manager at various hotels in Britain and the Netherlands and I have to say that Johnny on reception is an outstanding employee and deserves a pay rise! Top man!

Erstens, die Mitarbeiter sind absolut fantastisch. Sie können nicht genug für Sie tun, und machen Sie sich sehr komfortabel fühlen.Wir hatten Hunde mit uns und sie machten auch unsere beiden Hunde sehr willkommen fühlen. Wir haben hier für eine Hochzeit geblieben und haben in zwei Nächten etwa 5 Stunden Schlaf, und das ist nicht wegen unseres Partylebens! Das Hotel ist direkt am Hafen, das ist erstaunlich, Aber Sie sind auch direkt neben der Tür, die Ipswichs einziger Club, Isaacs, scheint! Unser Zimmer sah Isaacs!! Das Zimmer war etwa 30C in der Innenstadt und hatte NO air con! Deshalb mussten wir die Fenster auf beiden Nächten offen haben und alles, was wir für zwei Nächte gehört haben, war auf und nach oben laufend betrunken und die schreckliche Musik von Isaacs. Ich weiß, das Hotel kann nichts darüber tun, aber zumindest haben Sie Luftkon im Zimmer, so dass die Fenster geschlossen werden können und Sie können den Lärm ignorieren! Wir würden nicht einfach zurückkommen, weil das. Ich gab 3 Sterne, weil, wie ich sagte, das Personal fantastisch war, aber die Gesamterfahrung war nicht großartig.

Das Hotel ist sehr sauber. Das Personal sehr freundlich und aufgestellt. Die Zimmer sind jedoch sehr sehr klein. Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt ok, mehr als 2 Nächte würde ich aber nicht hier bleiben wollen. Unser Zimmer (glaube nr. 118) hatte kein Fenster. Ausserdem war fast kein Platz für unsere Koffer. Das Hotel liegt ca. 20 Gehminuten vom Bahnhof Ipswich entfernt. Ein Taxi kostet ca. 6£. Für uns hat es jedoch gereicht. Wir waren mit dem Hotel zufrieden und würden es für einen weiteren Aufenthalt wieder buchen.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this establishment but everything was terrific. Travelling on a great value two month 1st class Eurailpass, I arrived by Greater Anglia train punctual to the minute and walked 150 metres. The pleasant lady owner stored my case. Arriving back at 1900 on a Friday night, the bar was humming. I enjoyed a delicious seafood platter, although it lacked large prawns as I am used to in Australia and Philippines. It had a good amount of salad. Food has improved in England from my first visit 30 tears ago when dining was poor. The accommodation is not suitable for the disabled as stairs are steep. The room was spacious and delightful with the feminine touch evident in the bee theme even on the doona cover. There were two chairs, classy furniture, excellent lighting and a TV. Lamps were trendy. No aircon so on a 29 degree day the room might be stuffy. A wide range of breakfast items were supplied including yoghurt. Some were in the fridge in the corridor. The bathroom also had great shower gel and shampoo plus even cotton ear buds. Shower pressure was reasonable and hot water sufficient. Towels were good but no bathmat. One mosquito greeted me at dawn. It was dealt with. There was some intruding light early evening as no blackout curtains in the bathroom or to the side of the bed. Great to see the intermodal Freightliner and GBRailFreight trains belting through Westerfield, keeping trucks with their cowboy drivers off the congested roads. The owners here have done a great job with the hotel that at GBP60 was great value.

We were very happy with our stay at Kings cliff hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful during our check-in and when we used the bar in the evening and the restaurant for breakfast. It's fantastically situated on the sea front and was about half an hour walk along the coast from Clacton centre. The hotel itself was very clean and tidy and generally in good condition. Overall a positive experience and a recommendation from me.

This hotel under sells itself. It is five minutes walk from the sea front, pier and beach. Plenty of on-site parking in front of the hotel, lots of free road parking, plus a Pay and Display car park opposite. Clacton town centre is also a five minute walk away. My room was large, clean and comfortable. There was a lift to all floors. The staff were courteous and friendly. No complaints. All good. I would definitely return. Great value for money.

whenever we have stayed at Travelodge in Clacton central we have always received excellent customer service. If there is a problem it is always dealt with promptly and to the customer's satisfaction. The hotel is very central, near the car park and very accessible for those who find it difficult to walk.
