Sandalwood Lodge

A hidden gem boutique hotel on the outskirts of Harare, set in a picturesque environment with tall trees, a lovely garden and swimming pool, and tastefully decorated common areas and guest rooms. The staff was amazing and went out of their way to ensure we were well looked after. The cuisine was delicious, cappuccinos were readily available, and the small gym was well equipped. Highly recommended.

From the moment you arrive, one feels that you have stepped into a 5 star, bespoke boutique hotel. The staff welcome you, like they have known you for a life time. The design of the hotel, is chic, well finished with modern & beautiful finishings, that could be mistaken for a sublime Seychelles or Bali Hotel. My room was incredibly spacious, with all the amenities one could ask for: high speed internet, smart TV, work desk, patio, large shower with strong water pressure, high end toiletries and sliding doors that open the room onto the lush gardens. I utilised the gym, which has everything one needs and swam in the perfect temperature pool. Breakfast consisted of freshly baked croissants, fruit platters, cheese board, cereals, yogurts, and assorted breads. Along with an a la carte menu, that had the usual suspects, eggs Florentine, omelettes etc. Dinner was exceptional, with a well appointed menu, that suited the lodge. All the staff were so incredibly helpful, professional, kind and welcoming. I can only recommend Sandalwood lodge as the best place to stay in Harare, whether for business or a holidays. I cannot wait to return.

Very clean and relaxing place, good food and friendly staff. The bathrooms are clean and functional, bedding is clean and comfortable. Ambience is quiet, peaceful and very green surroundings making it a good spot to switch off from normal daily pressures

This was a truly exceptional stay. From the first time I walked into the reception area, the personalized service made me feel like I was staying with family. The rooms were pleasant, clean, and peaceful: great for a restful night's sleep. From breakfast to dinner, the food was outstanding—each dinner crafted by the chef was a culinary delight. The property was spotless and exquisitely landscaped. I mistakenly dialed the front desk from my mobile (I had the number saved) when I was out in town on business. I hung up within a second or two when I realized my error. A few minutes later, Rosh (manager) called me and said, "Hey, Glenn, I see you called. Everything ok?" Wow, what other hotel personnel would care enough to do that?! Such outstanding personal attention. I hope to have the pleasure of staying again someday. Highly recommended!

Sandalwood offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of the city outside. Everyone at the property is professional and friendly. Rosh and Anita ensure that one feels at home. Its a true paradise. The sleep quality is very peaceful. I felt well-rested when I was there. The gardens allows one to relax. Compliments to the chef for the lovely meals!
