Motel 6 Hammond, la – I 12 – I 55

Property is old and in need of major repairs. Staff is very unprofessional. This feels like a motel that would have an hourly charge. Rooms are dirty and outdated. Don't believe the 5 -10-star reviews- they're done by staff members. Spend your money elsewhere!

It was a great experience. My favorite part was the staff. One particular worker, Sherrie, helped me whenever I needed it and provided me with a great experience as a tourist. I will definitely return.

Booked a three night stay for the Hammond Air Show. 91.00 a night. Paid cash because of a 4% increase if you use your credit card. Took a look at the room and immediately went back down to talk to a manager. The room was filthy not dirty, filthy. was met by Will who was unresponsive other than to say we'd have to talk to the Manger in the morning. See pictures but they dont do justice to how bad this place is. Room stunk, had to let the A.C. run 3 hours and a can of lysol later went back in. Food running down on the walls around the microwave and frig. Stains, old candy and burn marks all over the carpets ( Took pictures,They say you have to pay $250. if you smoke in the room). Couldn't turn the water off in the Tub, not dripping , running! The toilet was stained and had crap in the bowl,and the seat was broken. The tub was just stain over stain, and cigarette burned looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks, ran a wet wipe over the edge and it came up almost black! the mirror actually had boogers and hair stuck to it. The furniture was reminiscent of something you would burn rather than donate to charity. The mattress was old and lumpy like sleeping on a sack of potatoes. Few amenities, one bar of soap and a small shampoo. No Clock, coffee, blankets, The wall plug for chargers on far side if the room inaccessible to the bed. Stayed that night, bring house slippers, socks were back from walking crossed the room. Dogs barking, noises from more permanent guests all night. Went to the desk in the morning. The Blue haired girl, managers daughter, wouldn't give us her name or the managers name. Says shes exercising her right to privacy. If I ran this hotel I wouldn't want anyone to know my name either. She was also unresponsive and borderline rude , only saying the manager was off today and she wasn't going to bother her. I said fine we were exercising our right to check out. Made sure we got a receipt showing what we paid and exactly when we lift. She was unable able to issue a refund for the stay. We checked out. We finished our stay at a relatives home. WARNING if you don't have relatives nearby and made the mistake of booking this hotel they WILL ruin a vacation. ( Note they did issue a refund for the two days we didn't stay to a credit card we had on file.) Should have been a full refund nobody should have to pay stay here unless unless serving a prison sentence and being fined. The only bright spot to this ordeal was Rochelle who was vary polite and helpful when she took the booking and again when I called back to talk to the manager, who again wasn't there two days later. She looked the booking up and informed us of the Partial refund. Just WOW.
