"I contacted the hotel at noon on the day of check-in, and then the hotel sent me the password via text message at around 3pm. The room was very large, and you had to scan the password to enter the door and the room, and the passwords were different. It felt very safe. The front desk was very friendly. I didn't need anything to check out, and I just left. The hotel parking fee was 25 per night, but there was free parking on the street."

"This is an old-fashioned pub but the rooms were very nice and clean. Albeit somewhat small. There is some noise from the pub downstairs, but it's not too bad and it finished long before I went to bed. Although there's no reception, you can just check in from the bottle shop. The hotel is in a great location for shops, restaurants and cafes. It is a bit of distance from the centre of Newcastle but it's probably a busier area than the centre."

"I chanced on the this B&B by randomly selecting a place to overnight on a trip through Newcastle. I was pleasantly surprised by the property and friendly staff service. There is on-road parking (in addition to limited on-site parking I understand) and a nice downstairs common area. The rooms are secured with keypads, which is convenient, and are quite large. Beds very comfortable, and a good bathroom. The location is 100m from Beaumont St, which has many eateries and a pub for easy access. Overall very good value for money, and I would certainly stay there on a more planned trip in the future."
